The best way forward would be to contact Subway itself, as their customer complaints online form goes to the manager of the branch.
The manager at the time told me he would make me another sub, WITH THE SAME FILLING !
So he's no too bright.0 -

This used to be the case under the SOGA but since the Consumer Rights act came into force, a retailer is no longer liable for costs incurred by a consumer for returning faulty goods.

Interesting point, but the issue here is not returning the goods (that has already been done, and if the sandwich was not retained by the manager it's unlikely to still be in existence); the issue is obtaining the refund.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
Contact customer service again and see what they say.
Personally I would have worked harder to get a refund at the time of sale. If the manager wasn't interested I would have shown the dodgy sandwich to other customers when they went to make a purchase.
I did that once! I walked out of the store and went to bite into it, but the whole thing just disintegrated in my hands. There was something dodgy with the bread. I took the whole sandwich (if you could call it that) back into the store and made the employees aware. I was half expecting an argument but to their credit they did me a new sandwich right there and binned the old one without hassle. They also made sure it was perfect. I can honestly say that the sandwich was spot on, and all of the other occasions have been spot on too...0 -

I'm sure a good manager would apologise(no idea why you needed to shout that) makes you wonder why this one didn't? If he is such a bad manager and he's selling 'bad' food then I'm sure he will go out of business soon enough. Maybe the OP was rude and it got the managers back up, who knows?
A good manager would also know how to deal with a rude customer, especially in a situation where a solution is easily reached0
