Hi everyone
Early check in :j but it's just because I'm too poorly for my training session and getting ready to go to bed. I desperately don't want to take a day off work but am starting to fear I may have to. I don't know if my voice will make it to tomorrow, and my cough is starting to hurt.
Foxgloves - I am just about to have myself a hot honey and lemon before I head off to bed. Tempted to add whiskey, but we don't have any :rotfl:
Bob - great news on the dental front.
Ziggy - hope you're doing ok.crazy_cat_lady wrote: »

Ahh...I'm not sure now you've asked... But not to worry - it's all good practice
Maybe something like this will help next time? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eliQ0MXID0M
I hate ripping out knitting so try anything to avoid it - even just tying bits together and putting a brooch on the offending spot!0 -

I am - my current list runs out in 2017 so I still have so much to do !!Debts at the start of my journey - about £23,000 lightbulb moment 01.03.2007 (1st payment to CCCS)..Debt Free Date 25.06.2013 Deposit savings £17,000/£30,0000 -
DNMS - Glad to hear the pattern arrived ok. It probably does look complicated if you've never knitted a sock before but just concentrate on each section at a time. Once you've done the ribbing, the rest of the leg bit is just ordinary knitting for each round, & lots of the foot, too. It's the heel shaping that is the tricky bit until you can see it forming. Don't overthink it, just follow the instructions & I'm happy to help if you get stuck .

P.S. I hate pulling knitting out too. The crochet hook method is great. Much easier on stocking st than other sts, though.2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever
2) To read 100 books (36/100) 3) The Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg

Chocolate - congrats to your brother
have to say denplan is a great benefit but I think you can get it for around £5 a month.
Ziggy - sorry to hear things are unsettled with your husbands job/work patterns. I hope your mum and brother will both be ok. A tank of fuel is a great win.
ClootiesMum - another one with a great win..I'm so impressed with you and Ziggy." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Hi all
Just thought I'd stop by to report my DFW progress for today.
Hanging washing up indoors
Wearing a jumper instead of putting the fire on
Using up the rest of the reduced price groceries I bought on Sat morning (I never usually shop at that time and was surprised at the quantity and quality of the reductions).
Tomorrow I'm going to a gym for a freebie day, but then I have to get out the cash for the car MOT and service. I haven't used this building society account in the past, but I'm going to ask them to transfer it to my current account, save me carrying it about. Don't know if they do this, but I'll try.
Well done to all for being such good DFW folks and hugs to those feeling less than brilliant.Debt -it's a fight that I'm winning, dealing with debt one day at a time.
