Hey all,
Quick post for the list and then will catch up with the thread at lunch time. I hope you're all well
Glitzer - could you perhaps make the presents more Christmassy with bows/ribbon?
I feel so exhausted! Can't wait until the solstice and the nights draw back out!
Today's list:- B from stores. L? D? I don't know. Brain not working! Must try to eat a bit better as spent the weekend snaffling choccy and crisps. Which is very unlike me.
- Check online banking and reconcile spreadsheet. Move some money around. - done. Very complicated today. Am amazed it all adds up!
- Half cleaned the bathroom as I was waiting for the shower to warm up. Need to get back into doing little things like this. - done
- Print out a nice picture in work to put into a weird grotty, empty frame that belongs to the house and hangs in the hall. I have cleaned and beeswaxed the frame so it looks a bit better.
- Charge phone in work. - done
- Washing out on line.
- Bed stripped - done, will make fresh when I get in. Remember to put leccy blanket on as may need it soon.
- Try to tidy up a bit. House always feels a mess at the moment.
- Sew ends in on blanky. I finished all the crochet yesterday. Just need to sew in the ends and do the backstitching now.
- Do some research on save to buy ISAs - done. This is also going to be a faff!
Have a good one all

Morning part 2
Have just made my PAD of £20 to THE DEBT.
The best bit of news just in, OH had to spend £204 on dental work this month. We've been putting it off and off but poor man....anyway we thought his company denplan would reimburse him 50% eventually but low and behold on checking our account today the whole lot was back! As he only had it done last Tuesday and put the claim in on Thursday that is incredible! Let alone the full amount being back. So pleased. X

Oooh, Bob, great to get a full pay-out on the dentist fees!
Just stopped for a coffee break & leftover mince pie (family 'do' yesterday).
Have done pretty much all on my list & also made a pastry case & 2 little individual ones from leftover pastry. Will freeze & use for a quiche between now & Christmas, when we are planning to keep meal plans low cost. Still a tiny bit of pastry left & oven was on for pastry cases so made 2 jam tarts which will do for packed lunches & cooked the final blob for our robin. (He loves pastry).
Postman brought bank statement from the account I've been using to build a Car Fund. It was so nice to see the balance has just squeaked up into 4 figures. I have mostly saved this by using survey vouchers for shopping & paying equivalent cash in, selling odds & ends on ebay, PADing odd amounts across, paying in our Onepoll survey cash, etc, Some months I've been able to pay in more, but the statement shows it's mostly been very small regular transfers which have built up. I MUST step this up next year. Aiming to change car in March 2017 & the plan is to put down as big a deposit as we can reasonably manage.
No downstairs heating on. Have also switched towel radiator off until tonight. I've been standing near the oven & peeling hot chestnuts so am feeling plenty warm enough. Have also moved a large rug from conservatory into kitchen & it feels much warmer standing on that than standing on cold quarry tiles.
Found some beautiful festive paper napkins amongst my box of random gifts from Mum, so I shan't need to buy any, also 3 Christmas crackers - only 4 of us for Christmas Day so we can use those. I don't mind not having one......to be honest, I'm more interested in getting my hands on the nice red ribbons & white reindeer on the outside to recycle!.... Also found 4 leftover cobs which have done mr f's packed lunch & will also do my lunch today with leftover fancypants cheese. Very useful.
OK, coffee finished. Back to peeling chestnuts. The quicker these are done, the sooner I can get a DVD on for some serious speed-knitting.

We had some extra income this month so went and paid off £900 off one of my credit cards! That's almost 1/3 of that card paid off in one go. Very pleased with that.
Found £2.55 in change hidden under a pile of papers on my desk at work. They must have been there for months. Added them as income into YNAB under "wallet".
Had a packed lunch.October 2015 = -13242.16 DFD 28/10/2016 £0 :T0 -
Foxgloves my postman has been and delivered me a sock pattern :j:j:j seems complicated but am sure with the help of youtube I'll be able to work it out! Thank you so much it's so lovely of you :A and what beautiful handwriting you have! x
arrggghhhhh have to unpick 6 rounds of the cowl I am making (140 stitches to a round) as I dropped a stitch. Annoying!
Having a Christmas themed day with dgd. Have watched frosty the snowman, drawn a card for Santa's elves, made some reindeer xmas paper using lining paper in stocks - so used brown paint (mixed using red, yellow & blue that we already had in) and did thumb prints all over it. Then used red & black pens to do eyes, nose, antlers & ears. Looks very good even if I do say so myself!
Also done meal plan for xmas eve, day & boxing day & shopping wrote list.
Booked to go and have afternoon tea with Santa's naughty elves on Saturday with bff & her ds/my godson.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!DF as at 30/12/16

DNMS - don't unpick it. Use a crochet hook to pull the yarn up a few rows. YouTube will have some vids.
I also like the book - when bad things happen to good knitters.

I've done it now! I thought it was only stocking stitch you could use a crochet needle with? This is 4 rows knit then 4 purl. Tis done now, but maybe it was folly?DF as at 30/12/16

Put £30.01 of fuel into my Car. YNAB now tells me I have £139.97 left for fuel until payday. Easily enough, so I may allocate some of this over to my groceries later in the month as I overspent slightly in that category yesterday.October 2015 = -13242.16 DFD 28/10/2016 £0 :T0

Good Evening Everyone
Candy - Thanks for starting us off today!
CCL - Hope your "lurgy" doesn't last too long
Hi to all of the regulars and a BIG welcome to all the newbies, this is a really FAB thread with so many lovely, caring, considerate and supportive people.
Sorry been AWOL for a few days again, not much to report, have tried to keep the DFW faith - was lovely yesterday to go and fill the car with free fuel - thanks to a comp win, will make things a lot easier over the next few weeks. Hubby's work has re-located, but decisions are much day-by-day and things are very up and down - this week he's in as normal but then ended up home for 2.30 as they've decided it's shift pattern now but may change again next week (hope so don't fancy him working nights) but at least he's bringing home a wage packet. Mum is still waiting to hear from hospital and brother starts chemo today
Back soon with a list of some sorts
Take care those further up north and love to you all
