Whats the best PAYG tariff at the moment ? I don't want something that the credit disappears after 30 days ,I have ordered a giffgaff sim but was wondering if thats the best option.
On my contract that has just ended i averaged 7 mins a month and under 40 texts and although i would have been happy to stay with Tesco they have seriously messed up the change that i want to move from them completely .

On all PAYG credit doesn't 'disappear' unless you buy bundle(s) manually or automatically.
The cheapest PAYG are Three and Delight Mobile, both with 3/2p per min/text. The former requires 3g-capable handset. The latter uses EE signal.
If you reduce your usage you can consider http://freeasyougo.com/ with 25p/min and 19p/text, but £5 free worth of usage every month.

All i wanted was to change from contract to payg .I went into the shop was easy to do sorted in minutes[ so i thought] this was Friday.I was told it would switch within 24 hrs ,all sat afternoon i tried to top up and eventually after 4 live chats it was sorted [again so i thought ]
My mobile was still only allowing emergency calls even though my top up has gone through. I called Customer service requesting my money back he said he knew what the problem was and had sorted it but it would take about 30 mins to update , needless to say it hasn't and now the call centre is closed until tomorrow.
I will be calling to get my credit back and requesting a pac code .
I have ordered a giffgaff sim which will only cost me £5 a month. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

My Three 3-2-1 paygo sim has cost me £21 since March 2014 and I use it for calls, text and data (but I shut off data when not in use). I even used it abroad last December. That's 3p a min for calls, 2p a text and 1p per mbit for data
That's about £1 a month - I doubt that there are many other deals out there which are as cheap. Credit does not expire and you get an extra 150mb of free data when you top-up (although the free data only lasts for 30 days)Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
Another vote for Three 3-2-1 payg.0

FreedomPop works well, but you missed the caveat that it needs a smartphone from Android or Apple to work.====0
