ealing is a fab place - young vibrant and fun! (lots of aussies and kiwis).
raynes park is about a 15 min walk to wimbledon and it does not have a tube but the area is noce enough. If you can Wimbledon would be a better choice, but I would go for Ealing/Acton once weighing up price etc etc. HTH.0 -

Willesden covers quite a large area and there are loads of tree-lined back streets. There are also about a million property places to check out too. If you stick to the area around Willesden Green tube station, it's perfectly safe. There's a Police Station down the high road about 10 minutes from the station.:j Take That 23/12/2007:j :dance:0 -
ok well i'm going into London on Monday to look around areas.
I'll try and look around Wimbledon, Raynes Park, Putney, Ealing and Willeson if i get time.
Anymore for anymore before i go?0 -
Just to keep you updated-
We have put in an offer for a house in Wimbledon. Perfectly situated and a lovely location.
The others just didn't quite stand up to the test.0 -
also is council tax normally included in rent? I think we have to pay seperate council tax for this...ANy advice would be great.0

I believe council tax is a tax imposed on residents rather than a tax imposed on a property regardless of who pays. So it's your liability rather than the landlord's. If you contact the council they should send you a simple form to complete and return.
Well done for finding a house so quickly - I am really jealous, wish I was moving to Wimbledon too.
