What type of jobs would not require an interview or pay much attention to a CV?

I was looking over my CV again and it's so bare, and the majority of my qualifications were completed 5+ years ago. I was thinking about applying for basic/entry sales jobs, but would they all require interviews? I have sent off quite a few CVs in the past couple weeks to various companies, but nothing of positive note.
There isn't anything i can improve on my CV (apart from maybe tell a white lie or two) as it's extremely limited due to my long absence from the work place. I am looking into online qualifications to bump up my CV, but ideally i want a job, but employers will make first impressions on my CV and decide to hire me or not, and because it's been so long since employment/any qualifications i've gained, i don't see my chances of gaining employment getting any better at least before Xmas/New Years.
I highly doubt anyone has been in long term unemployment on this forum, but how do i get the notice of employers? Someone elsewhere on another website mentioned including a cover letter explaining reasons for unemployment and while i am willing to prove myself. Does this sound like a good idea, and shall i send a CV and cover letter to every application i make?

Voluntary jobs don't pay any attention to your CV but you'll still be interviewed to see if you fit the organisation you intend to volunteer for.
If you've been out of the workforce for a long time taking some volunteer work can get you an up to date reference. Once you've done a few months you can use them as a reference. I'd keep working for the volunteer organisation after you get a full time job as much as you can to thank them for what they've done for you.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

I can't think of any job that doesn't require an interview - would you employ someone you'd never met?
What have you been doing while you're unemployed? Voluntary work, for example. Showing you've been making an effort is going to get you an interview more quickly than a few online qualifications. It helped to get me my current job.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

A few months in volunteer work? I need a job and money asap.0 -
Bad way of looking at it.
You can volunteer AND look for work, at least while looking, you're doing something besides hoping for an unskilled job (i say that because they are the most saturated) that requires no CV or interview.
If you want to work, look at it long term and get some voluntary work in instead of waiting for something to fall out of the sky. You say your CV is bare but you don't want to cure the issue.
Many of us (including myself) started with volunteering.
And a lie is a lie, no matter what colour you add to it.

anyway
1st work out your budget for being on the dole ...then you are in control. And I think you will feel more confident.“Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”

I pointed you to a website for a job months ago but you ignored it.0

I haven't done anything tbh. I should have and regret that i haven't, but my mental health and conditioning was just horrible for years. I feel s*** and just need a job because my mindset has become very pessimistic and feel like i will never find work, but it's making that first step it's so bloody hard for me it's frustrating! I am really hoping for a reply from an employer soon but it's seems so bleak. Once i have a job i can put my all in and show my dedication, but i dunno when it will happen. There is many things i want to do but i just don't have the money for those things.0 -
With your mental health issues, i think you need to be looking at voluntary work initially as they will support you and your needs.0

You've been asking the same questions for months. You could have had several months voluntary experience by now. No one can help you if you won't help yourself.0
