Vodafone and incompetence!

  • You can if you pay up the contract!

No thanks. Not giving them money for a rather bad service.

    Confused...

On a side note, in June, I went to the United States to do some storm chasing as part of a tour group. I was at first using my Vodafone SIM card as I had an add-on that allowed me to use my calls data and texts over there although that ended in a dispute when I returned, I almost always had full service over there while roaming on AT&T's network, what does that tell you? Though I eventually accepted that I would not get 4G, I did get reasonable internet with "H+" at around 10Mbps. I did not use that very often as I had it turned off until I needed it, but most of the time I was using a Wi-Fi connection in the vehicle. I eventually decided to get an AT&T SIM card on prepay to hopefully avoid the costs of using my Vodafone SIM card and I was getting a consistent full signal. In mountainous areas, it dropped at times but I expect that. It also turned out that my phone would not work on 4G as my phone is not compatible apparently, despite being a 4G compatible phone. I guess its the network over there or something. Regardless, I was still able to use my phone internet when I had an AT&T SIM card and was getting unlimited data, a good thing, since I uploaded a whole load of pics and a large video to Facebook overnight in Belle Fourche, SD. I plan to get another AT&T SIM card to use when I go back in May 2017 to avoid the hassle from Vodafone billing me for calls, texts and data that I am supposed to get as part of my contract with the add-on I had on my phone.
  • UPDATE:

Would it be a surprise to anyone if I said that I have heard nothing from Vodafone yet?
  • It would be exceedingly surprising and a novel experience if you had. You'll be dust before you do unless you follow the repeated advice.

My latest problem on the same day as yours started appears to be at least half-resolved by so doing (again).
  • Called them yesterday repeatedly, same old boring baloney...

"I will report it (once again) to our engineers, and they will call you within 24 hours". Surprise surprise, 26 hours later, still waiting...
  • Does anyone know how to get through to someone in Britain without having to deal with the unbelievable incompetence of the call centers in Egypt? I am at wits end with them, and right now, I have a good mind to go down to my nearest Vodafone store and ram my phone down thier throats. That's how close I am to exploding!

I have spoken to so many and the saying that has really got my blood boiling was "people like you" and when I asked what he meant by this, he said "people like you!"

I am not sure how I should view this, but in my book, it is a way to really annoy someone, it annoyed me, and believe me, I am hammering this keyboard. I do not know where else to go, perhaps the Ombudsman? The courts? Someone please tell me, I am so annoyed right now, I want to ram my phone down thier throats!

I have been getting a poor service for months, lucky to get a single bar of service, and at times none at all, I have been promised on numerous times a call back, which has... well... NEVER happened.

I am close to taking them to court for fraud. I also feel like calling the police.

    WHERE DO I TURN!!!??

None of the above. Follow the advice given on post 3 or keep going. The instructions are given scores of times on the Vodafone Complaints thread.
  • How to contact the "Web Relations Team"?

    As stated.
