I won £500 shoe voucher in may and in august they realised the computer made a mistake, I was saving the voucher for sales and do you want to know what's happen ,they got it back and replaced with few make up to make me happy...you might want to say what did I do...nothing.
I learned the lesson though ,you won a prize or voucher, spend it as quickly as you can :)
sorry about you though,is not fair to lose it but hopefully they might consider giving it back to you :)

Yes I'm so gutted and it's hard with children when you hvlave a great win it helps so much sadly it was for my mum so she's also really upset.... They should have checked before they announced it on Facebook and ask for my details
  • Does it say on the status that it closed at midnight? If it does not you have a case but unfortunately if not it will just be one of those things I am afraid - very sad though

Its poor customer service not to send you a smaller consolation prize as an apology imo, but they are within their rights to choose a legitimate winner.
Thank you to everyone who posts on the competitions boards. You all rock!

I had no idea I just entered im guessing it was in the terms and conditions but when your in a rush to enter you never really read them and if your picked and publicly announced you clearly don't think anything of it
  • Stupidly I entered hours later
  • I take it people went back to look at your entry and informed them of their mistake, drawing it to your attention? Seems to happen a lot - people searching back to find the winner's entry, I guess to prove it was legitimate.

I won a £550 weber bbq through Legal and General on Facebook. The terms stated you had to use a hashtag, as did their initial post. I did not use the hashtag because I replied to one of the numerous subsequent comp posts from them, that did not mention the hashtag.

They emailed me to say there's been a mistake and that technically I shouldn't have won - but that they were emailing me to tell me not to worry (in case I saw them announce another winner) they had decided to honour my prize, and also choose a second winner.

THAT's how to do it right. Poor show from the company in your case. It was as much their mistake as yours - arguably more.
