Thanks.
I agree it doesn't look like a shell. It looks like they've still got the original Victorian fireplaces and floor tiles. That would be a big plus point for me.
It seems also to have two separate reception rooms which would be an enormous plus point for anybody a conservatory just isn't really the same.0 -
Well done upside down bear. You're amazing0

One search on Rightmove shows me another house on the same street, perhaps not as nicely decorated, but almost £20k less and with one MORE bedroom.
If you're competing with them then I'm afraid it's understandable why you've not had more viewers.
Furthermore a quick look on Zoopla tells me that the highest price paid for a terraced house on your road in the last five years is £109,995. That was for a three bedroom property too.
I'm afraid it's all about the price, lovely as it is.0 -
Having been in a similar position recently with my house (see my thread on this here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5331426) the posters who say that the price is the reason are absolutely bang on.
You will get some superb advice on here around the appearance of your house etc, and improvements that can be made. I took some of that advice myself, and I think this helped to sell it once people came over the doorstep. But what I found is that the primary issue in getting people actually over the door in the first place was price, as soon as I reduced mine to that of similar properties in the area, I had a cluster of viewings and managed to get an offer quite quickly. I've had another offer today too so it's obviously working.
My opinion is that people will view any property they think has potential if they feel the price is right and I think people tend to search the property portals with an upper budget in mind, if your price is over that then you won't even get a click, let alone a viewing.
I convinced myself that my house was worth much more than others in the area because it was so nicely done up and the EA has talked it up to get my business, but what I found is that many areas have ceiling prices and it doesn't really matter how well your house is presented if it's over that ceiling.
Good luck and I hope you get some viewings soon!0 -

There is also this two bed no 26 for £85k. Also an end of terrace - OK it doesn't have such a big garden or a conservatory but it is done out well and has a separate shower. I wouldn't pay and extra £42k for the garden, conservatory and off road parking.0 -
Are you sure your next door neighbour doesn't want to buy and have a longer detached house. TBH that would also put me off.0
