Tuesday 1st December - What small DFW things will you do today???!

I paid off £2k today. It really hurts because if I'm honest I have no idea what I spent it on in the first place. Still £4k to go but it's all interest free for another 19 months and I have £2k saved, so it's not the end of the world. I just wish I could go back a few years and not put myself in this. Without the debt I'd be pretty comfortable right now.0

Hi TB - don't let yourself get down about it - that's absolutely fantastic that you paid off £2k today!!! :T
If you use the other £2k you have saved up then you can pay the rest off at £105pm and you'll be debt free before you know it!0 -
Ziggy- sorry to hear your mum didn't have her biopsy. It must be stressful to have to wait again now.
Tyrone - well done! Hindsight a wonderful thing isn't it though." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Yep, and I can do £105pm fairly easily alongside a Help to Buy ISA, especially since my budget already includes a £40pm minimum payment. My plan right now is to start paying the maximum £200 a month into the ISA and shove anything I have above the £2,000 TSB interest threshold into paying off the card, then see how things look in early 2017. I expect I'll either have to dip into that £2,000 or transfer some debt again but it's manageable.
Thanks for support, friends!0 -
Hey everyone - I've survived another day....
Another day closer to the Christmas hols. And I'm so tired now that I can't even seem to switch my brain on. Anyway...
Congratulations to Karb - I finally got the good feeling of being df today when all my dd's went out of my account and there was still quite a bit left in there. :j
Ziggy, sorry that you're playing the waiting game... It's awful.
Quite a productive day - I'm aching after training but was on the go tonight until after 7 so no chance of 'working through it'. I had to bring marking home so I could get it done for tomorrow. I'm still determined I won't be bringing marking home over Christmas.crazy_cat_lady wrote: »
