Blimey, dnms, that seems an awfully long time ago. No, we split up in August of last year. Not even had so much as a single date sinceDebt free since December 2015. It can be done0

Well, I've only gone and done it. Final payment made to the credit card and, apart from the mortgage, I'm now debt free.
I can't actually remember the last time I had no debt, but I'm pretty sure it was 1997. Feeling so chuffed this morning.
Congratulations, what fantastic news.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Morning everyone and thank you Candy for starting the thread this morning.
For some reason I have woken up feeling panicky and anxious
wish I knew why and then I could do something about it, any suggestions?
I have found evidence of rodent activity in the utility room and I will need to pop out and buy some poison, whilst out I will also pick up 2 fitted sheets (1 for each childs bed) I want to check 1) they stay on & 2) we are happy with the quality before buying more, we have been limping along with very old sheets (some 20+ years) and we have had fitted sheets on our list for a while as well as the money to buy them, just needed to decide where from and then find a time to do it.
Plans for today:
LSD
Go to post office to post card to Canada
Go shopping (see above) and stick to the list
Post on this thread for support, motivation and inspiration
Keep heating to a minimum, we have jumpers and blankets
Open curtains fully
Close curtains before it gets dark
Turn off lights and appliances not in use
Post letters today so they can go 2nd class
Soak porridge overnight
Set DW to run overnight
Set WM to run overnight
Freezer inventory, check we updated it over the weekend & keep it up to date
Check FPL
Educate children for free
Entertain children and us for free
Make packed tea for us to eat whilst at our evening activities
Dry washing on airier, to wet to dry outside (the weather not the washing)
B/L/D from stores
Have a lovely day everyone.

Hey BB my advice would be to limit caffine intake today, maybe go for a walk if you have time, do a meditation - I like this one (it's only 10 mins but really helps ground me):
bbc.co.uk/news/health-12263892
and lastly make some time to do something you enjoy and can get lost in xDF as at 30/12/16

I cycled home at lunchtime to eat the soup I made last night. Really nice bit of exercise and I feel healthy, full of carrot and sweet potato soup and most importantly smug because I didn't buy a sandwich!:j DEBT-FREE AS OF 3/11/15 :T

Afternoon all

Thanks for the start Candy
Congratulations on becoming debt free Karb :T
Hugs to all who need them
So far today:
Mild here (or at least it is at the moment), so no heating on :T
Used stewed apple from freezer for breakfast instead of bought fresh fruit
One dog walk done
Bathed dog as he rolled in a fox poo
Been to sales unit to take in a couple of new bits
Paid a cheque into the bank
Bought the veg and fruit I needed from the market instead of the SM
Bought 2 gammon joints for £5 from butcher, not big ones, but free range / from posh local producer
Bought a few more Christmas present bits - only 1 more present to get, plus arrange the donation to the foodbank that OH and I do instead of presents for each other :T
OH did the hoovering
(makes a change from moping about his cold, which has been the sum total of his activity since he arrived home last Friday from his trip :rotfl:)
Finished off last week's salad bits for lunch
Still to do:
Put Christmas bits away before any of the potential recipients turn up! Done
Bit of paperwork for business About to do (honest)
Find a vase or something to store the HUGE locally grown celery I got at the market - it is way too big to go in the salad drawer in the fridge  Done, a glass wine cooler did the trick, and looks nice too
Cook mince for dinner - it is minced venison (discovered lurking in the freezer), so it will be gamekeeper's pie
Seriously yum, and there is plenty for tomorrow too :T
Clean bathroom Done
Pop across to corner shop to buy loo paper - way too much temptation in the supermarkets when I only need 1 thing! Done
Any surveys, FPL, postal survey tasks etc No surveys today for some reason!
One more dog walk, avoiding the area where he found the fox poo earlier! I bet he wasn't the only dog who found that, as it was right beside the tarmac path through the park  Doe
Light wood burner if it is chilly later - the weather seems to change from one minute to the next today. Still, at least it hasn't rained so far! OH lit it as he decided it was 'miserable' without
Right, better get on

Afternoon/Evening everyone
thank you for starting us off our first post in Dec Candy
CCL - the company in question was N€xt - I would not recommend working there to anyone, different stores might be different but the two in the town I work in are horrible
p.s. I like the new colour of your post
LaE - pleased your bank are getting the money back to you
Ally - Sending hugs hope work isn't too bad for you today
Karb - Congratulations on being debt free!! :j:beer:
Baileys Babe - Hope you're feeling better
I hate waking up and feeling like that. I find that sometimes on my drive into working listening to a couple of good songs can calm me down sometimes. Also agree with DNMS meditation is brilliant, has helps me a lot too or doing some yoga.
Christmas songs have started at working and we can now wear our Christmas jumpers and t-shirts. I thought I better get in the Christmas spirit so got my t-shirt on
Although not too keen on the songs think it is a cover album and just had to endure a terrible woman screaming "Last Christmas" gonna be a long shift....
Today's list:
- Dentist My come with me, cost £30 as had to have some x-ray's done too, turns out I have an internal cavity (can't remember the proper name) and it needs filling going to cost £80
and I am REALLY scared of the dentist
so not fun!
- Dinner from stores Had bacon sandwich for brunch at my brothers and getting a snack later in my break while doing a MS near work (might get a Xmas gift too)
- FPL
- Luckyphone
- o2 priorities
- Survey/s
- Blog post
- Phone EA and ask them why the DPS STILL shows awaiting LL/EA response She is "apparently" chasing it up
- Track food with MFP
Think that is about it for me today
Hope you all have a good day

Thank you for your support and suggestions l have put some of them into practice today and plan to follow them all tomorrow when hopefully I won't run out of time.
