Tuesday 1st December - What small DFW things will you do today???!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym .
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D :money:
Hope everyone is OK, hugs to those who need them and hello to newbies.
Today I have/will:
checked online banking - all as it should be/checked online banking - a small payment has gone
think that is about it for me, take care everyone

- out so I have moved the excess to my credit card
- checked investments
- update my signature to show new balances
- interest has been added to my loan
- meals from stores
- read papers online
- charged my phone via the PC/TV
- drove at 50mph on the way to work
- downsized my morning coffee at work, saving 25p (our Costa is subsidised, so a Massimo is only £1 which isn't too bad, but that is still £20 per month). The coffee in the machine at work is nasty !
- have an no spend day / have a low spend day
- go to my ww meeting - free as I am a meeting clerk
think that is about it for me, take care everyone

Hi Candy - thanks for the kickoff :A Last year we got a N3spresso machine for xmas - best pressie as now it's only 30p per coffee for us and I can't tell you what we've saved (because I'm too scared to count it up
). But a nice subsidised coffee shop does sound lovely.
Big hellos to all who follow... :santa2:
Well I've split my money into all the appropriate 'piggy banks' (online accounts not real envelopes) and gosh do I feel skinto! I know I will feel amazing when I have enough in each a/c to pay for e.g. home insurance in one go etc, but I'm just not used to my one current a/c being so low... Just a mindset thing really as I clearly do have the same amount of money - it's just split up!
Anyway, I digress....
Listypopadoodle:- Have cereal in work - free milk

- Find a packed lunch of some description
- Leftovers for tea - got 4 meals out of 2 chicken breasts by turning it into a pasta bake and adding loads of frozen veg.
- Sort out a bit of a xmas list to see who I need to buy for now December is here :rudolf:
Happy Tuesday!

Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -
Hi,
Thanks for the start Candy.
Debt-Free Nillionaire Month 6:
* Bought a DVD through Flubit.
* Took a packed lunch.
* Did not have a hissy fit at work, even though I felt like it. I need the job, but sometimes things are so damn unfair. <stamps foot like a toddler>
Have a good day everyone.

Well, I've only gone and done it. Final payment made to the credit card and, apart from the mortgage, I'm now debt free.
I can't actually remember the last time I had no debt, but I'm pretty sure it was 1997. Feeling so chuffed this morning.Debt free since December 2015. It can be done0 -

I would love to have a day off, but I can't as I'm the only one who does my job and my company is operating a no-holidays-til-New-Year policy.
My problem is that someone isn't pulling their weight and it's loading me with all their work as well as my own. Will have a word with them tomorrow and get the situation fixed.
Also I keep getting blamed for things that someone else did and fighting my corner is very tiring. eg Got blamed for sending a dodgy email yesterday that wasn't even from my email account!
