Oh bu&&er, just had to offer a 2 night stay to some friends who have recently moved away & need to visit a failing parent.
I have 2 evenings to sort out my entire house.
Not a chance, they will have to take us as they find us!

MrsB Welcome.
Spent the later part of the afternoon at the shopping centre looking for a couple of warm nighties for Mother. Modern nightshirts and pyjamas i can get reasonably priced but good traditional winceyette long nightdresses cost an arm and a leg. I walked my legs off but the best i could do was £17.50 each. She wont be having anything else for Christmas i hasten to add. She has 5 named warm full length nightdresses now, the two i have bought will replace the sleeveless short nighties the carers put on her. They are suitable when she goes to bed and is tucked up but like a baby she kicks the covers off herself leaving her legs and arms exposed. I have named all her clothes now so things wont go missing.
Her room is nice, spacious and homely. Her wardrobe is full of warm clothes and her nightclothes are all warm and practical. I think she has got everything she could possibly need now.

JUDI, we used to get them off the market for my late NANA, off an old fashioned lingerie stall"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Evening all, just took my three young DGS home and my house is looking very festive as they have put the tree up and decorated it, and the lights are still working !!! not bad for a set that cost me a fiver 11 years ago
:):)
I'm just having a coffee, then its off to quiz night at the local pub. Great night out with a supper included for £2.00. bargain I think for a night of entertainment
Tomorrow is my eldest DDs birthday so I'll pop into the school where she works, and drop off her present and card.I am also getting a trim tomorrow morning as I'm vanishing behind a mop of hair and want to get it done before all the appointments vanish for the festivities,It needs trimming about every 6-7 weeks as its grows so quickly, DD will blow dry it and style it for me on Sunday so I only have a dry-cut.
I stayed away from the shops today as they are starting to get very busy and I am not keen on crowds.since my chemo tratment my immunity isn't good, and I remember what the oncologist told me .If possible, shop when its less crowded and you will catch fewer colds, and it seems to be true as I get very few colds .I had a slight sniffle last week but a couple of paracetamols and an early night and it was gone .:)
Hope everyone is warm and dry,its quite mild at the moment here in the south east thank goodness, I'm hoping it stays that way as it cuts down on the heating bills.
Have a good evening chums what ever you are doing

Evening folks,
Just popping back on with news on my boy. He has been diagnosed with Arthritis in the stifle on his hind left leg, it's the bit at the top. Like with humans, there is no cure, but it can be managed. So he is coming home for a few days of box rest then going back in next week for Steroid injections into the joint, this should ease things for him and hopefully make it much more comfortable. If it doesn't really work he will have to be retired from being ridden but tbh don't care as long as my boy is happy and able to live pain free.
Thank you so much for all your kind words and wishes, it really means a lot that you were all routing for the old boy, the healing vibes were obviously good.:j
So, big glass of wine for me tonight and hopefully catch up in some lost sleep. Btw his full name is Billy Elliot because when he was a foal he stood with his back feet in first ballet position, who could resist xx0 -
Well done BILL and well done LAINEY, much praying done today for your babys wellbeing and a workable solution to his woes Lainy, sleep you well tonight petal, enjoy your glass of wine and raise it in a toast to Bill and the vetty person who will make him a happy boy again, so pleased for you both, Lyn xxx.0
