What is it with this Motoring Forum

Every time i come onto this forum to make comment on things that i actually know about there is always some new user who irritates and questions everything that people post !
I only comment on stuff that i know about and am certain of my advice or comments .
I am really put off coming on here to be honest , 30 years as a Police Officer does give me some knowledge of how the law and procedure works ...... (I have recently retired and not some ageing ex cop from the 70's)
I use many other forums under my actual name and apart from one other don't get the agro i do on here.
Lets see what response we get to this post :D

The whole point of a forum is you get differing views and questions. Nobody has the final say and everyone can question or disagree with what everyone posts.

I find people tend to hold a grudge and disagree with people not because of the topic being discussed but just because of the person.

Quite simply, I just laugh it off and crack on with my day without letting people annoy me.

If I can help people, fine. If they ignore my posts, that too is fine.
  • OP you made the mistake of arguing with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience :)
  • I think a lot of us have become cheesed off with the regular idiot of many aliases thats been spoiling the forum of late, though he's hardly alone in that, some regular posters seem to go out of their way to grab the wrong end of the stick and argue endlessly that their version, which is often little to do with the question, is right and no one else's opinion counts.

Best way to deal with the resident idiots is too back up what ever you saying with some form of argument. Ie link to direct gov site or other third party. Then let others make the decision about whom is eight themselves.

Why go to all that trouble over them?

Best way to deal with the resident idiots must be to simply ignore them?

Some of Police Procedure is not on the internet , it varies from Force to Force but is generally very similar . I am not bothered by the agro but look at the neighbour keyed my car thread ! I stopped posting and pm'd the chap my thoughts. Stuff on the internet is full of inaccuracies and dated advice etc.
