Aesop - I think I would still pursue it.

Can the Techie Board on here offer you any advice ? How about the CAB ?

Have you tried asking CFW about this - I have found them really helpful if they are not busy and the techie guys love to explain things if you pretend to be helpless.

I don't understand that if you were on two year contracts for phones that they can refuse to sort them if only 18 months old. Surely they are under contract the same as you as the other 'person' in the contract.

Wish I was near and could help, as can feel your frustration and know I would be feeling the same. It all seems so unfair

You would think that the phones would be covered under some warranty with the telephony people wouldn't you? Where if under 2 years still in contract they would replace? Well they don't have any such thing in place. They expect you to take out insurance to cover most eventualities therefore taking burden off them.

And Apple are a law unto themselves. If you take a phone into a store they have to send it to apple for repair. They aren't allowed to touch it. So there is no incentive for them to offer an exchange.

I will ask tech guys about the tablet but feel my only option is to go back to exec office and tell them not happy with third item not being repairable. If I had known would never have purchased it.

If I choose to take insurance it should be because of accidental damage and liquid ingress. Not because an item might become ber when less than 6 year old and even worse less than 2 yr old.

    £4.15 from clic and walk.

If not signed up, sign up, it's a smartphone/tablet app. You get paid for taking mini missions. They have £5 ones coming up, so handy for extra cash. Not sure if a referral page, will go look, as you can refer people.

Just called EON - I was £80.18 in credit and because of my usage and where my payments are at they suggested paying it back into my bank. I hate to so argue....

    Hi Nicki_Sue

Glad we've been able to help with your challenge. Hope you don't mind me dropping in but there's a couple of other things we might be able to do to help you along the way. Sorry if you already know this stuff.

Have you opted in to our Rewards scheme? This lets you earn up to 1500 points each year. These can be exchanged for either Tesco Clubcard points or High Street Shopping Vouchers. Points build up at just over 4 a day and are added to accounts each month. Once there are 500 points in the bank they can be exchanged for a £5 Bonusbond gift voucher. It's a free scheme but you do need to opt in to receive the points. All this can be done through our website.

It's good we've given you the credit back. Thought I'd let you know about a tool on our website that gives you a bit more control over the arrangement including being able to change the monthly payments. It's called the 'Direct Debit Manager' and comes in handy should circumstances change. Might not be of much use this month but could help with future challenges.

Provided the account is billed up to the latest meter readings, payments can be changed by up to 20 per cent up or down. By up to 5 per cent up or down without readings. Before confirming the new amount, we'll let you know by how much we anticipate the account will be in credit/debit by the time of the annual review if payments are changed but usage doesn't alter as expected.

As you were well in credit, I suspect you're clued up on how to save energy. We can help here, too. There's lots of stuff on our website aimed at saving money by saving energy. Have you heard about the Energy Company Obligation (ECO)? It's a scheme to help cut usage by providing help with energy saving stuff like loft and cavity wall insulation. Again, not much help this December but could be useful later on.

Sorry if I'm trying to teach you how to suck eggs here Nicki_Sue but hope it helps a little. Good luck with the challenge. You're off to an amazing start.

I think you have to wait for THE BADGER to spot you don't you ??

But recycling I love. It's so satisfying somehow as it saves the item, saves money :money: and helps save the planet ;)

Even me and DH are recycled - both been married twice before :rotfl:
