So just as well I checked banking today - two fraudulent transactions for £479 each!! It took me into my overdraft too so I'll need to check I won't get charged overdraft fees for those days.
Wow what a horrible thing to happen. So sorry. It hasn't stopped any major bills from going out I hope?" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Well not a bad day for us at all although the winds were so strong tonight I put the baby in the sling as the buggy was blowing along on its own almost. Horrible sideways rain too. So wet soggy son by the time we got back.
Dinner is mini jacket potatoes, tried son on mackerel with his but he didn't take to it today. We are having leftover chicken curry to top ours.
OH has the dentist tommorow so working from home in between so that will be nice to have him around.
Ally - 12 hour shifts are hard work. I hope you are able to eat again soon to keep your strength up.
Chocolate - I don't know about governing bodies for estate agents but surely the deposit is held in a scheme and not with them anyway?" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Thanks guys - luckily I got the money back from the bank already. They send me a declaration to sign while their investigation is ongoing. The only thing I can think of is that I had to pay for car ins over the phone because the online transaction got interrupted - that is the only person I've given my card details to over the phone - just exactly the details you need to buy stuff online with my details.

Chocolate - I'd not even bother with the EA any more - go straight to the protection service. It's your LL's responsibility to pay it and with some schemes he holds the deposit rather than the scheme. If you dispute it he has to pay it into the scheme - and they hold onto it while the investigation is ongoing. (That was the case with the scheme my deposit was in anyway.)

Thank you Bob and LaE it is held with the DPS but the EA have to release it in order for us to get it back
hubby spoke to them and apparently it is all "sorted" although the woman on the phone was so rude to both of us and we're going to take it to their head office as she is really rude and stuck up and should not be in a customer facing role
I am going to check back with the DPS to see what it says on there.
Thank you for your help
it's my first time doing something like this so all new to me, feel so young and naive!! haha
So glad everyone on this thread is kind and supportive it really means a lot to me :') xxRead my diaryHere

La E - that is fast I am glad. It's great they are giving you the benefit of the doubt and not making you suffer till they prove otherwise.
Chocolate - People like that have nearly always got a complex of some sort. Like the way sales assistants can be in 'posh' shops sometimes. Always love that bit in Pretty Woman where she gets her own back on the snooty one...I digress, but glad all is well." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Bob - I agree totally!! I used to work in a "posh" shop and my face didn't fit so I was treated like carp and fired for something that wasn't really my fault! So I voted with my feet and don't shop there anymore

Very late check in from me today... I have been so very busy, but it's (almost) all good.
Hugs :grouphug: to all that need them... LaE - pleased your bank is sorting it out so efficiently. And Choc - hope you get your £ back soon. Please do name and shame your previous employer though
I've spent an absolute fortune (by my own standards) today. I have completed my Christmas shopping online (paid for my Amaz0n basket and ordered a couple of buddy boxes as gifts from 'blurt it out'). Also went to Mr S to complete the weekly shop that I started last week (£17.74). Now I just need to remind myself that I don't need another dozen Christmas presents for anyone, and I certainly don't need to overstock on food (that is one of my December goals).crazy_cat_lady wrote: »

Oh my today I was craving chocolate and feeling lazy. My kid was also saying she didn't want what I was cooking for tea. But I told her she was eating it, or eating nothing, I drank water instead of eating chocolate and I wasn't giving in to takeaway. I also began a sealed pot and read some inspiring posts. Well any penny saved is a good penny!Listen to the sound of the wind in the trees when no wind stirs....0
