in Credit cards
Hi,
A couple of months ago I saw on the MSE email about the HSBC offer that with opening a new card and doing a balance transfer, they would credit me with £25.
Now, I've opened up a new credit card, and done a balance transfer, but so far not received a credit.
Googling, I can only find mention of such an offer for existing HSBC customers (which I am not). Is that the case, and I misread the MSE email, or was there really an offer for all people, not just existing customers? Thanks.

i don't know, but was it a click through from this site, or a general deal that they were offering?
if the latter, then speak to HSBC and ask them? perhaps it is due to be credited soon?
ime HSBC stick to their deals without hassle...whereas Co-op Bank and Nationwide have to be chased, for examples.0 -

Thanks so much! I found it in the 23 Sep email, which was a couple of days before I applied.
Now my question is, I applied and asked for the balance transfer before the deadline (which was 30 Sep), but it only went through in October, am I still entitled to my £25 rebate?
Thanks again.0 -
So I called up HSBC and they told me that if I'd have applied (and asked for the balance transfer) by 30 Sep, then I'd have received the £25, even if the application only went through later. However, the first record they have on the system of my application was only on 5 Oct.
Now, I know for sure that I applied originally online on 27 Sep. I said this to them but they said they have no such record. Should I bother chasing this up? It is only £25!0 -

I don't believe that's true. The terms clearly said (and I checked several times) that you have to "apply" for card before 30th and make a transfer within 2 months.
I applied for the same card and I still have not received my £25, I will give them a call but I think I will look for my letters first to see what dates I got them.
OP find the offer page or booklet and give them a call again.Marriage is hard. Divorce is hard. Choose your hard.

Just googled and found the T&C for you (and for myself later
) on the HSBC website.
See 3b and 3c in the link below.

Applied on the 30th Sept. Balance transfer completed about 2 weeks after. Received my £25 credit couple of weeks ago.
