I am sure that I can get myself out of this one by pointing out that months ago I did say that if there was ever any way possible at all of messing up a situation and doing things the wrong way then I would do it.Debt August 2007 - £38,204.58 - Completely Debt Free - May 2008 - Now Proudly Saving.DFW Nerd Number 684 - Proud To Have Dealt With My Debts:heartpuls Very Proud Aunty Ciara :heartpuls0 -

I am good thank you although I am still very worried and a bit scared after what happened and although I know that I should look at all the positives I keep finding that I am dwelling on all of the negative things that could have happened. I know it's easier said than doing looking at the positives but it's what you have to do.
No point wasting time with something you can't change. Better to focus your attention and energy to what you can.
Hows the debts going? They taken a bit of a back seat?0 -

My debts are a bit of a strange one and I think the only thing that actually benefited from recent events because I was doing nothing but work and visit hospital and trying to make sure that my brother in law was still vaguely sane and sort of functioning so I spent just about no money at all and my sister had bought me in a huge stock of art supplies for Christmas in the middle of November so I did not even have to spend any money on that. I am not too sure about what amount my debt is actually at at the moment and I will have to sit down and work it out because I made both my November and December and January payments as normal but in November and December I just asked my bank to transfer whatever was left in my account over to the debt collector so I think that it is going ok but I will update properly as soon as I have done my sums.Debt August 2007 - £38,204.58 - Completely Debt Free - May 2008 - Now Proudly Saving.DFW Nerd Number 684 - Proud To Have Dealt With My Debts:heartpuls Very Proud Aunty Ciara :heartpuls0 -
Now for my update on my outstanding amounts of debt.
At the end of November I had an extra £124.00 left over in my bank account so I transferred £123.65 over to the debt because that odd 65p had for some reason really started to annoy me and it just had to go. At the start of December I really did not know what was going to happen next so only the standing order for £715.00 actually left my account and went towards my debt and I have to admit that I did not actually think about what I owed even once throughout the month and the only reason that I paid any more at the end of the month is because my sister asked me how much extra I had needed to spend because of her being in hospital because she wanted to give this back to me so that I did not fall short with any of my payments which even although this was a totally normal question from my sister even when she is seriously ill was quite strange in a way because I had not thought about money at all because I was too busy to and had what I firmly believe were far more important things to worry about and I had not even taken my bank card out of the house more than twice in the whole of the month.
At the end of December I found that I had £406.00 left over in the bank which was a total shock and had me worried that I had somebody else money by mistake and I was going to end up being pursued to return it to them. :rotfl: I paid £306.00 of this towards debt and put the remaining £100.00 into my emergency fund. I have not long since made my January payment by standing order again for just the minimum of £715.00 which should have cleared by now which will leave my outstanding debt total at £12,589.00 which still leaves me a very long way to go but at least it is so much better than it was six months ago.

Hello everybody I hope that you are all having both a wonderful and a lovely day.
I learned something new today and that was that whoever said that there is no such thing as a free lunch just did not have a clue about what they are talking about because I had one today as well as some drinks too.
