Hi all,
Recently, my housemates and I have been lured in by Virgin for a better deal and they have installed a hub (whilst being with Talk Talk), promising that Talk Talk will cancel my contract if I say what's happened recently with the hackings poses as a threat, not providing the household with the right mbps speed etc. However, TT will not cancel the contract, leaving the household with two ISP...
So, do I cancel my direct debit with Talk Talk, or will that affect my credit score? Virgin says it won't but I'm after for a second opinion.
What should I do?
Thanks

You are in a lawful contract with TT .
Pay it off and you have no problem don't pay and you are likely to find your credit trashed .
Of course if the hacking actually affected you directly then that's a different matter .
But my guess is you where not hacked and TT have said that is not grounds for you to cancel .0 -
Cancelling your DD with talk talk does not cancel your contract with them. It will eventually cause your account to be blocked and shut down and will cause termination charges to be a applied if you are in minimum term or in a re-contracted period. This will effect your credit rating and will be passed to a debt collection agency is not paid off with talk talk.
Virgin have a 28 day cooling off period. You should be able to cancel virgin services and see out your talk talk contract.0
