how much do you spend a week on milk?

We use on average 2 x 1ltr UHT milk each week. DH eats cereal pretty randomly. DS and I have cereal at the weekend. DH drinks on average 1 cup of tea/coffee a day.
We use to buy fresh milk but because DH didn't always use it up it was getting wasted so switched to UHT milk as we don't use it alot and there is now no waste. I generally always put a few away in the cupboard so don't usually run out.
Latest purchase was 6 x 1ltr Tesco UHT semi skimmed reduced to £1.49. Not sure why as it had a use by date in 2008. Otherwise quite happy to buy the value stuff at 38p. Recently found 3 x 1 ltr of branded semi skimmed with a use by date of October 2007 for 15p each. Pretty random but I'm not complaining.
If DS wants to drink milk when he is older will buy fresh milk for him.Tesco points: 101 (£21.50, £19.50, £7.50, £21 & £5)
Boots points: £0.28
Pigsback points: 715 (4 xBoots£10 & 1 xPizzaHut£10, 2 x £10 clothing vouchers)
Mutual points: 3417 (redeemed 8250)

Just bought milk this morning
FARMFOODS-£1.35 for large 3L bottle- is this the cheapest?earn what you can, save what you can, give what you can :hello:0 -
I live on my own and buy about two pints a week, so about 60-70p.
I keep some powdered milk for when I run out.
Skimmed/semi-skimmed are a total waste of money IMO. I usually dilute full fat milk by about 50% without noticing much difference.
I keep cereal costs down by 'cutting' them with value muesli or porridge oats and dried fruit.'Never keep up with Joneses. Drag them down to your level. It's cheaper.' Quentin Crisp0 -
about 30p a week - tops!! .......I rarely drink milk and just have a carton of the skimmed UHT Value/Smartprice in the house in case I need it for any cooking.
Saw a pint of Organic skimmed in the supermarket at the weekend reduced to 11p so I bought it and popped it in the freezer. I'll probably eventually use it in icecream or something similar so it gets used up in one go when it is defrosted.
