I've received a DRP (Debt Recovery Plus Ltd) letter - Is this safe to ignore in this case?

DRP are powerless and send out tens of thousands of these letters, because that is all they can do

its always a good idea to ignore DRP , regardless

What happened as regards your draft email complaint like everyone else who has lost to a dreadful POPLA decision is doing?

Not to 'info' but to complaints@popla.co.uk and addressed to Mr Gallagher (like everyone else has done). Search for 'Gallagher' on this forum.

Ive received my final DRP letter offering reduced payment from 120GBP to 102GBP.

Ive completely forgotten to write to Asda/Smart Parking, and Golf Club/Parking Eye, possibly thinking this might go away.

Is there a timeline in which this cannot be dealt with anymore?

On a seperate note, Ive now received charges from the lease company on my car for admin fees processing the parking notices!!! Anyone else had this experience.

Thanks again to Redx and Coupon and anyone else who has replied helping me.

    these things rarely "go away"

the timeline is 6 YEARS , this is the small claims court deadline for these matters (think Judge Rinder without the theatrics)

sitting on your hands has never been a good idea, which is why all this extra stuff has happened, because you "forgot" to deal with it (no point asking for help if you ignore the advice given)

thats fair enough. but the general advice was to ignore the drp letters. I just need to crack on with the writing to POPLA complaints now.

With having 2 ticket appeals to deal with (this one where I bought a ticket, and another one at Asda/Smart Parking, where it was free parking overstay), I have only heard from DRP regarding the asda one.

Is it safe to assume the other one is just working its way through the system and I will hear from them soon enough? Is there any other action I can take.

the advice has always been to ignore DRP letters, and to IGNORE any DEBT COLLECTOR letters, but people still dont bother to take that advice on board and you have brought it up yet again in post #45

IGNORE means exactly that , IGNORE

if you have not heard about the other one there is little you can do, other than get a landowner cancellation for each one , in writing, that advice has always been the same and will continue to be so

get a landowner cancellation for each one , in writing, that way you have paper evidence in case of a future court case

    Update: ....1 down....1 to go.

    Thought I would share this.

    Hi josingh20,
Thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding Smart Parking Limited and the charges allegedly owed by you.
As you may be aware we have been investigating the parking charges, including certain cases where demands for charges should not have been made with Smart Parking directly. I’m pleased to confirm that we have received confirmation that these charges have now been cancelled and you will not be pursued by either Smart Parking Limited or DRP.
Once again I am sorry for the correspondence you’ve continued to receive and I would like to thank you for your patience whilst we have conducted our investigations. If you have any queries or if there is anything further please don't hesitate to respond to this email.
    Kind regards

    Nice one!

Good to know they can still cancel these even though Smart were kicked out by Asda.

PS - I have also received an LBCCC from ParkingEye, as of 7th June.

I have opened up a ton of threads looking to do a reply to this. I am now outside the 14 days to repay (as demanded in the letter), so have I got the order right , to carry on with landowner pursual (golf course) and also letter to ParkingEye about LBCCC?
