I would need to ask the owner of the property who we rent from in regards to that. I asked his advice on what to do about the ticket and he said to simply ignore at he's had hundreds of them and the follow-up letters and nothing has ever come from them. This is largely what has led to my confusion over what to do as there has been conflicting advice. I'm more concerned for fianc! as the car is registered in her name and the correspondence has all been to her and she is just very concerned about the effects it could have on her credit rating etc.

HTH, similar query, different parking firm. Like them, you should NOT have ignored the PCN but can ignore debt collector rubbish.

Bad luck for having UKCPM on site though - ex-clampers who will use any excuse to ticket a car. How do you think the permit 'slipped'?? Think about it.

Use blutack or a clip to hold the permit.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So how worthwhile is it going through the process of challenging the notice and sending all the letters of appeal? Is it simply a case of that getting the letters to and requests to stop quicker or is it equally effective just to wait it out and ignore the letters till they give up?

    Pointless.

Nope, it won't make any difference except you'd get an extra letter stating: 'my findings'. Search the forum for 'my findings Debt Recovery Plus'!
or is it equally effective just to wait it out and ignore the letters till they give up?
Yep. I would, so would the BMPA. Only take seriously real court papers, or a 'Letter before Claim' that does NOT come from DPlus or Zenith. i.e. a LBC from solicitors or the parking firm would need a response, not a laughable threat from DRPlus.

So should I return to challenging the original PCN with UK Car Park Management or would that not help me at all now either way?

    Have a read of this

If the appeals service is POPLA then Coupon-mad on here can give you the perfect advice.
If it is IPC, be aware that the appeal service they operate has a very low success rate, no doubt because the appeals service, a solicitor, and a debt collector all rolled up in package.

Do you have any that you need to fight with IPC? I stumbled upon your vendetta when I was researching my own collection of CPM tickets!

One other point in the unlikely event that this got to court, nursing mothers are covered by the Equality Act 2010. I'm not sure how this could be used to advantage in a permit dispute, but an EA 2010 breach might be something that would make the PPC seem even more obnoxious if put in front of a judge.

Afraid not. I've been out of the game for a month due to a new job and I was due to move house around now so stopped baiting as I wanted to tie it all up in time, Ive just got the one appeal lost in limbo with London Councils POPLA. I literally just found out that Beavis lost which is pretty funny that fish monger could have ruined it for us all.

From what people have said I wouldn't worry. If this were two months back I would advise you to take a deep breath and then laugh at the DRP spam mail (not even a real debt collector company btw...), did the big red lettering scare you? :) All you are concerned about now is a LBC letter which I seriously doubt will happen with UKCPM. You may get if's and maybe's with them but its not their thing.

If notheings changed which by the look of it is the case then relax and don't sweat. The Deep, UKthomas and Coupon Mad are spot on with what thy say.

PS its not a real parking fine and never was. If you appealed to the IPC they would have denied your appeal anyway and you would be in the same situation as you are now.

    Relax!
