Biological washing powder, mixed to a paste. Apply to the affected area. Leave it a couple of hours and hose off. Repeat if necessary.

My car has recently leaked oil from the gearbox over my landlady's paved drive.
Does anyone have any ideas on how i can clean several patches of oil from the drive?

Sprinkle cat litter on it - leave it overnight and then brush off.

    The cat litter absorbs it.

Cannot remember where I read this but it was so wierd that it stuck in my mind.

Its not very money saving I'm afraid but Brick Acid does a wonderful job!!

Its about 5 pound for a tub, and you just pour and scrub with wire brush.

You can get it from B&Q or Homebase.

    Hope this helps!
