So it does. Cineworld vouchers might be a good shout then.

It's going to be VERY hard buying a gift for a 17 year old that you know nothing about.

Younger kids are easy because they all have fairly generic tastes but as people get older their interests diverge.

Some kids hate the outdoors and love reading and video games, others are sporty, etc.

I think the Cineworld vouchers are probably the safest option as I don't know a single teenager that doesn't enjoy a good film.

I loved the idea so much I've but some for other gifts and the small version for her stocking.

I think I've decided on a budget of £50 to £60 as that's what I would spend on my niece and nephew and they have toys coming out of their ears.

I'm either going to go for Cineworld or Union Square gift vouchers (Union Square is a shopping centre in Aberdeen which also has a Cineworld and the vouchers can be used in all the shops, restaurants and cinema) and I'll have a look in TK Maxx during late night shopping on Thursday to see if I can find a nice beanie hat. I'll also pick up some chocolate coins or a selection box. Then if there's any money left I'll get a wee something extra. Hopefully that will be ok.

I'd probably add a note saying they can be used at the cinema as well as the shops as kids sometimes don't realize

I think it's a lovely thing to do Pixie -proper Christmas spirit.
