  • I'd like to give this a go. I'll try 20 NSD. I won't be including bills, the main shop each week or ballet classes as spending. My main problem seems to be nipping out to the shops to get a pint of milk and ending up with £20 worth of stuff in my basket so I will be including top-up shops.

Please can I join your party thread. Didn't realise you had started December so early :D

I am going to try to count everything so can I go for 10 NSD and 4-in-a-row.

BTW - any parts left in the panto or do you need a prompt ? Not very good with flats or costumes but happy to sell tickets.
    Lx

    New blood,new blood...'rubs hands together gleefully' :D
Welcome to both of you;I hope that you enjoy the challenge! :)

rawdinosaur if you find that nipping out for a pint of milk leads to other spends, why not give yourself some allowed spends,ie milk,bread,bananas...that way,you can get the milk safe in the knowledge that your nsd hasn't been sabotaged. ;)
A lot of us have allowed spends like this.

lynnejk wow,it might be tough to include everything, but ,as you are probably aware, you make the rules...so good luck. :)

As for the panto, tis Hubert, our histrionically inclined, rara skirt and hot pink lippie wearing resident donkey who is head of casting,so I'll get him to contact you. :rotfl:

20 NSDs is my goal & I'd like to go for a goal of 5-in-a-row

I really can't afford anything this month really.
the month hasn't started & I am already struggling.
I've only got about £150 left to pay for christmas now.
Please put me down for 18 NSDs :)

Alright I've just made up my mind... 15 NSDs total and 5 in a row, I must be crazy. The 5 in a row needs to happen next week, there is no way it will happen this week or after mid December.

To make it slightly easier, I'm not counting bills, Thu grocery shopping, piano and dance classes for my child - as those are bills/regular expenses that are already budgeted for and kept in my HSBC account. The spending account is Barclays, that's where sad things happen.

    Good luck everyone!

You're all signed up! :money: :)
  • I'm claiming my first NSD today - I know it's early but I'm WFH and not going out anymore except for afterschool pick up, and no temptations on my way to school, we're next door. Tomorrow it's Xmas shopping day, I have half day off, so I'll see you on Thu & Fri, hopefully!

This coming weekend is the school Christmas fair and we have a leaving party on Sun, so no chance of NSDs, but next week I'm on my 5-in-a-row challenge so I'll be here! :)

Happy December start, shiny people! :)

Spendy day today getting small Christmas gifts from Sainsbugs - but I did use £15 worth of Nectar points so not as spendy as it could have been.....

Hubert, I don't know why you cast Chef as Captain Hook, he'll never fit into the costume.......must say, though, your decision to cast Fabio as Peter Pan is inspired, even though the part should really be played by a girl.....best not tell him just yet who you have cast to play Wendy......although I think she'll look ok once she's had an all-over face and body wax......

That reminds me, it is the first of December......who opened the Advent calendar and nicked the chocolate? Or was there another prize in there, marmite?

This is what I like knightley, someone who can grasp the nettle by two hands and bag an nsd on the first day of the month! :j:j

    Well done. :money:

WFH has me stumped though. :o

Very cunning use of Nectar points there Nargle.

You mean that Igor's voleless bearded sister, the fragrant Helga is playing Wendy?Who thought that one up? 'sighs deeply and rolls eyes'
Honestly,we never should have put Hubert in charge of casting....He hasn't got a scooby.I have heard rumours of bribery too.
All you have to do is offer him some new lippy and a 6 pack of extra large chocolate cupcakes with anchovy frosting and pink fairy dust and he's yours.

Don't ask me how I know that.
