Well, you think that, but I forgot I'm doing a carboot on the 5th (though I'll be walking there because I don't have a car) so that'll be a spend day as well since I'll have to pay the pitch fee.

Unless... would it count as an NSD if I made the pitch fee back and ended the day +£ ;) (nah, I'm just joking. 12 guaranteed spend days, so aiming for 10 NSD of the remaining 19)

That's ok if you want to do that (counting it as an nsd if you make the pitch fee back)...some of us do similar, though I can't think of an example offhand.
Yeah, people doing car boot sales have done similar, people doing mystery shops (I don't know how these work tbh,but they get money back?).

You could say that the pitch fee is a necessary expense also tbh,so it's allowed.Hopefully you'll make that back, plus extra.
How much does it cost anyway?

    So,yes,that works! ;)

These are my rules, which might be helpful. What doesn't count as a spend for me:
-all bills, dds etc since these are non negociatble and budgeted for anyway.
-travel as I have a yearly travel card so paid x1 in the year.
-going swimming (also yearly subscription,so payment x1 a year)
-any budgeted spends.I have a budget for most things, the main one being my grocery budget.
    -any prescriptions.

Some people also have allowed spends ie it could be petrol, milk, bread. For me this kind of allowed spend might be:bananas, yeast, flour, dried milk powder,if I've run out.
This could also be seen as an emergency spend.

There's no reason why you shouldn't consider say buying a lightbulb as an allowed/emergency spend if that's all you need.

I suppose the beauty of allowed spends is that you can get the item needed, but by avoiding temptation to get anything else (chocolate, crisps, magazine etc) you still get your nsd. Some people maybe think 'oh I've blown it now' and get more stuff that ultimately they don't need.Just feeding the spendy gremlin.
    I hope that makes sense.

Flexibility is not a bad thing.
It has to work for you too,of course.

Oohh I'll take some hot chocolate if you've got some going. I just finished a mug but you can never have too much :A

Coming up,a nice big mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows and some yummy biscuits! :)

The one near enough for me to walk to with all my stuff (what a sight that'll be :rotfl:) is £18 for the Saturday. It's the most expensive day by a couple £, but I figure not a lot of folk will be out of a Wednesday (£12) and on Sunday (£15) there's another big boot sale nearby to contend with, so Saturday is probably my best shot at shifting stuff.

I think I'll count my DDs as spend days because with DDs + rent, c/tax, CCs etc it adds up to 8 days PCM, which leaves me 20+ potential NSDs, but we'll see how I go.

    Sorry about that Nargle.

The tinsel is back in the title...'Tinsel and HM Eggnog':in a mmoment of crisis I wasn't sure that it was quite festive enough. :o

Don't worry btw. We're not expecting you to be twerking about like the rest of us,especially after abdominal surgery, which means of course that you'll be one of the judges to decide who has the best conga line/does the best twerk. :D

    What's that?
It was Mrs Doyle's great nephew Fabio (19 yo) who said that twerking was the new ubercool fad and that we had to have a twerking competition...I thought it was a dance move...Idk,like the Moonwalk?

Oh,wait til I get my hands on him!

    'blushing scarlet'

No Hubert, you can not learn how to twerk.

    'shudders'

It was only recently that I found out that"twerking" does not mean tweeting on your Twitter account whilst you are at work......seriously, I honestly thought that was what it meant, until I saw Beeeyoncay' s humunguous great arris jerking about on the telly, and someone said that is twerking!

Thank you marmite for reinstating the tinsel. We can't have a December thread without tinsel, Hubert would be bereft.

Naughty Fabio for winding you up about the twerking, you have my blessing to give him what for.....Not that we need an excuse to get our hands on a handsome young Italian stud muffin. Anyone for panettone?
