Good afternoon, NSD gang, spendy day today but the end of the week and the weekend look very promising....I am determined to get all the Christmas spending done before December payday this year.

marmite - thank you so much for yesterday's Advent calendar prize - I always wanted a fossilised Brussels sprout, very seasonal!
I see someone has already opened today's little door, the chocolate has gone, but what was the prize?

Igor, listen very carefully. The cast list is as follows:

    Peter Pan - Fabio
    Wendy- Helga
    Tinkerbelle - marmite
    Captain Hook - Chef
Mr Smee - that's you, Igor
Ship's Cook (the Dame) - Hubert
    Nana the dog - Tiddles
The ticking crocodile - Mrs Doyle

In my role as Director, I have allowed the rest of the NSD gang to be the Chorus, which means they will be assorted Lost Boys and pirates. This means they will not have the stress of having to learn lines at this busy time of year.

We are still needing Wendy's brothers John and Michael, Mr and Mrs Darling, the chief of the Red Indians, his daughter Tiger Lily, plus various sea creatures. In the absence of anyone available to take these parts, you will be playing them. It will require dedication, concentration and some speedy costume changes.

I know you can do it.

And while you're at it, Igor, Mrs Doyle has already started rehearsing her part as the ticking crocodile - so go and give her some tips on how to clack her dentures.

  • So no Christmas shopping today for me. School called, my daughter was not feeling well, I had to go pick her up. Luckily she seems fine now, but I'm not taking her out shopping.

Can't claim an NSD either as I had to go buy Ibuprofen and Dioralyte just in case.

Some would consider that an emergency spend, therefore allowed. :)
  • Shocking spendy day:
bought 3 books (two of them 2nd hand) and renewed my chemist's loyalty card (special offer for 3 and a half years,so worth it).
