Woohoo NSD 3 for me today!
I made a large pot Stilton and Brocolli Soup with 3 bags of brocolli and 2 brocolli heads and the broccoli only cost me (yesterday in Tesco)...wait for it...12p for the 3 bags and 4p for the 2 heads in total...16p!!!:eek::eek:
The stilton cost me £3.45 and the onions cost me 65p for a big tub.

Woohooo! Get that tape measure round me, I'm feeling skinny! :j

Finished Christmas present shopping today at last. Bought a new IPad case for OH as one of his presents. Measured his IPad first to make sure I got the right size. Bloke in shop said I also should take into account the thickness of the IPad as there are different versions of IPads. Anyway, got the case home, it was the right size but the IPad was too thick to fit in. Went back to shop to change the case, this time taking the IPad with me ( OH was out for a few hours ).

Went to the counter, explained the problem, bloke looked at IPad and said it should fit as it was the right one.

I am such a plonker. The IPad is set in the back piece of its existing case, the front piece being separate. I had tried to fit the IPad, plus its existing case, into the new case. The bloke took it out of its existing case and hey presto it fitted perfectly in the new case. A good laugh was had by all.

Honestly, if I had half a brain I'd be dangerous.

  • NSD #4 today for me! Brought lunch to work, doing the same tomorrow. Weds it's lunch paid for by the work. Thu & Fri working from home.

Today's NSD is supposed to be the 1st in a row of 5, I'm already doubtful I can make it until Friday though :-) it's such a tough one, especially in the run up to Christmas.

Good morning NSD gang! Chef has the porridge on the go as usual, baccon and toast is now being prepared, doesn't it smell grand!

Hang on....what is that not so pleasant odour? Don't tell me....Igor has just had a bath and is applying Doctor Scroggins' s Miracle Hair Grow cream to his chest....smells like something's died......think we shall have to add something to it to tone down the smell, but what?

Perhaps we should throw open all the doors and windows of Ennessdee Towers to let the fresh air in...might even encourage some NSDs to come in....Good idea! Thermals on, everyone! Ready for a sprint round the grounds after breakfast?

Igor, quick! Get those shoes and stockings off and cleaned before nellis notices....Yes, I know you had a bath this morning but you managed to get that stinking hair cream all over everything!

Knitwitch - Fabio does not need measuring for another pair of panto tights, his measurements won't have changed much in a couple of days...
