unlocking company gone out of business?

I didn't get a Euro merchant request - it just took it from my debit card. It was in £'s and then when the payment was taken it said it was in euro's.
I e-mailed and used the chat facility and not had any response.0 -
Probably a good reason to buy unofficial unlocks via eBay and pay by Paypal. At least you have hassle free protection for 6 months against the seller.
do you have any company you can recommend on e-bay? I've seen appleexpressiphone.
Can the company do anything with the IMEI number that I have provided them?0 -
It's a town on the Costa Almeria. Possibly a scam site based in Spain, masquerading as UK based?
Didn't a Euro payment merchant request (when the site is priced in sterling) ring any warning bells?

Any company that promises to "officially" unlock iPhones for dozens of countries all over the world is likely to be a scam. Normally, only the mobile provider that it is locked to can do this and unscrupulous employees inside.
I don't know where you have got the telephone number, but the fact that I see only a e-mail address on the website for contacting them rings the bell too.
I have no idea what 'MOJACAR' is, but if it was a card payment, contact your card provider and ask for a chargeback:
MOJACAR was what came up on my statement as who took the payment.
It processed it in £ on the website then when the payment went through it came up in Euro's
Got the website via a link on moneysavingsupermarket and giffgaff so thought it was genuine. Now I don't know what company I can trust to do it.0 -

Use anyone with decent feedback, I've used mobilecare2010 a number of times. Can the company do anything with the IMEI number that I have provided them?
No, extremely unlikely.====0 -
As I said, the mobile provider that the phone is locked to.consumer13 wrote: »Now I don't know what company I can trust to do it.
Or, possibly, some e-bay unlocker that isn't cheap, specialises on iPhones locked to 1-2 network(s) and has loads of positive feedback.
BTW, charging in not pre-agreed currency is another legitimate reason for chargeback.0 -

The unlocker we've used on eBay is fairly cheap and offers unlocks on a number of networks but has almost 40000 feedback at 99.8% positive and has never let us down...
