Not overly a lot of hassle, but I will have to ring my energy company, and tell them, they tried the switch before and they always want you to ring them to confirm. Lots of companies do.:rotfl:

In fact I don't think it will effect me, so its not any hassle for me, but other customers, I think it would have been easier to leave the sort codes as they were, how many sort codes do they need.
I've switched many accounts but have never had to call suppliers to amend a DD for energy or others.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

They had the information, but due to security had to confirm, same with my wages.

    Giving themselves work for nothing.
  • Interestingly, the RBS website lists one product range for England-based customers, and then a second range, not for Scottish customers, but for Scottish/Drummonds/Child/Holts customers.

So, I wonder if things like the new Reward account are available to England-based customers on the 15-80-00 sort code...?

RBS have signed over management of the future W&G branches ATMs to Notemachine. Nothing wrong with that in itself but embarrassingly it will mean that options like Get Cash, mini statements and deposits will disappear for as each branches ATM(s) get transferred.

I've noticed the ATMs at St Anne's Square branch are note machine ones now and have been for a good few weeks.

They all will be soon ahead of the re-branding.

Although I'd expect things like mini-statements to be available again later the Get Cash is effectively an RBS feature so I imagine it will be available via NatWest/Tesco ATMs up to legal separation.

I'll have to use my card in the machine and see what facilities I'm offered. My building where I'm based will be the Williams and Glyn HQ. When's the rebranding starting?

Of course it could all be a waste of time if Santander or Virgin buy, which they will.

Northern Rock's (Virgin) setup is pretty antiquated, I'd imagine that they'd migrate to the W&G infrastructure.

There are quite a number of permutations at this stage - Nationwide was even looking at them last time.
