My DD has already started the Christmas countdown and has started playing Christmas music!! When do people open their pots Ellie?

    Hi LuckyPenny,

Our official start date was 1st December 2015 so end of November will complete the year but it's up to you when you open your pot. I tend to open it a week or two before the end of November to allow myself plenty of time to buy presents.

  • Hello savers! Final couple of months now before we open our pots/tins/savings...keep going everyone, we have saved a huge amount of money between us all. Well Done;)

When we finally open those pots and count up those pounds, how about we add them all together and show a running total for the year? That way we can see as a group just how much money we have saved collectively, just a bit of fun but some serious amounts saved between us

    All totals updated where requested:cool:

Totally agree - every single paralympian (regardless of whether they won a medal or not, and regardless of which country they come from) is totally amazing and inspiring. I have loved watching the paralympics - just a bit sad the TV coverage wasn't as good as for the main olympics though (which I also loved) - limited choice of what to watch and much of it as highlights rather than a choice of which event to watch on multiple channel choices.

Very true, but the olympics totally took over all the channels which began to annoy me, towards the end, although its a shame C5 had adverts as a lot was missed in my opinion.

I was a games maker in London so I got to see quite alot of the events live which was amazing, but its been good to watch it from my home, its makes me appreciate and evaluate my own disability, to see others out there worst off and still trying their very best so has inspired me on..

Blimey, I haven't posted in here in months! Totally forgot about it :o

However, I am pleased to report I have stuck to this regliously which means I have approximately £290 in the sealed pot, yay! :j:j

I also have an identical sealed pot next to it (Home bargains coke money tin :D) which I save £2 a day in for my children's birthdays.

So grateful to the OP :T

  • My sealed pot has become unsealed! My willpower hasn't gone, it's my bus and leaning a glass panel on it when he was going DIY!! Anyhow he has just broken the top bit and made the bit where the money goes in so not much harm done. Just have to stay strong.
