I second what Mummytu said, it's never to late to join! To see your savings balance grow is very satisfying and gives a feeling of some control. So many (me) go in debt every year at Christmas. It's wonderful to think that won't (may not) happen this year. I have have never set a budget for how much I will spend.
Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Wow, what a stressful month or so, first my nan went into hospital, then my mum whose my nans career so late at night we had to find a care home to have nan whilst my mum recovered. I'm not local to them so doing it 100 miles away is difficult to say the least! They're both fine now thank goodness. :j

I've reached 50% :j and only 3 days behind the curve if I finish at the end of November again this year. I'm not too worried though, the last two years I have spent £650 and £625 so I only need to get to 90% to have it covered. :)
