I'd like to join this challenge, please? It will be nice to have a stress free christmas money wise! I will probably do mine online, £1 a day, but I will also have a change pot for all the loose change that hubby leaves around the house.

    Many thanks for organising this.

  • Hi,

May i also join this challenge - i tried putting a £1 a day away along with my DH throughout this year into the current account to save for xmas but it got "ate up" with shopping/debts and so struggling this year :(

Instead I'm going to use a "pot" for xmas 2016.

    Best wishes

    x
  • Morning Takingcontrolatlast, good to have you with us;)

I know what you mean about trying to save in an account where you have access, that's why I use a sealed tin. That way I'm not tempted to open it, no matter how skint I am:o

I have a big pig money box which I have always wondered how many pound coins it would hold. This seems a perfect way of finding out!

Count me in again. Even though it ended up not spent on Christmas totally it meant I had a lump sum of money there when I needed it, so it's a good habit to get in to.
