Thank you Ellieseleven for setting up this great challenge again. I've done it for the past two years too and have been really successful - I set up a payment from my bank account into my savings account.

Please put me down for £366 for 2016. My first pot will be on 1st December. :j :j

Please can I join? I'm not sure whether I will do it online or in cash at the moment. Probably online.

Can I just ask do you literally transfer £1.00 across every day? Or do you do it in batches e.g. weekly?

I'm not sure I would have a pound in cash every day, equally it seems a bit silly to transfer a pound each day electronically?

Hi curlywurly82, you can do it however you like. Some use pots, some use online accounts. Some post once a month, others weekly, others daily. I post random amounts because I save topcashback, nectar, boots and tesco points. Do whatever suits you :money:

    Curlywurly...

Both my OH and I put in £1 a day but we do a month at a time and put it into a pot.
    January 1st = £62.
February 1st = £58 (hooray for leap years).
    etc, etc.

Every so often, we count it up to see how we are going. We also have small bit of paper in the pot that we write on if we take any money out. As I said before, we tend to buy presents as we find them.
By keeping a note of how much we take out and who for, it means we know exactly who we still have to buy for.
    :)

Hope this helps a wee bit.
    Hugs.

Thanks for my Number Ellie....I've always loved the number 13 and don't find it a bad omen for me at all :D

I'll probably put in the money on a Weekly basis since I get paid Weekly....and I'll put the money into a big Tin that I have had for ages....It'll be nice to watch it build up and up....
