Both myself and OH add more than our £2 a day sometimes and it makes a big difference, like you say it's nice to have a surprise. This year (2015) my target was £730 but we actually saved £858;)

Please can I join this one? I'll aim to save £365 by 30th Nov 2016 for all Xmas spending :j
I can't seem to leave money in online accounts - I always end up 'stealing' it for emergencies, so I'll be old school & use an actual real-life sealed pot...

That £3 will soon grow Lynxe, it's amazing how once you are in the swing of this challenge, the pounds mount up quickly.
You have plenty of time to catch up your backlog;)
Brilliant re: the Bisto pot, definitely MSE:money:

Hi all
Quiet from me due to real life getting in the way. I am using a tin, and I have no idea how much is in it - but I am still potting on a regular basis. And will still be checking in on here. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Hi everyone
Another £5 put in today, so I'm still in front. I emptied my purse today, so thought I would put some in. My shopping month starts on Friday, but I'm not going out tomorrow, so I thought I may be tempted to spend it tomorrow if I left it in there, well it made sense to me as I typed it when reading back it sounds daft lol!!!
So 30/366 In pot

I have paid £31 for January, after finalising my accounts ready for next years DD to go out.
I just remembered that I only have one more council tax to pay, in January, will give me a good start to the 2016 challenges.
