And to celebrate, I've started buying Christmas presents today. I would also like to join in again, I don't mind what number I am given.

Thanks for running the thread Ellie, this is my 3rd year of doing it and I don't miss the money at all.

  • I had to crack open my tin this week to make use of time off work... It had £316.40 in it. That I didn't even notice putting away. I've already bought another tin and started putting money in it. Thanks so much for this challenge - it's going to make Christmas a lot easier for me this year.

  • Just counted up what's been added since I last updated and that's another £76 in there. I think I've said before that DH doesn't want us to use it for xmas if we don't need it so we are not opening until January 1st so that we start the new year with a nice wee savings pot. Which wemight end up using to get stuff early in the sales for next year.

I've also got £60 sitting in Pinecone, which I may add into this pot if I decide to spend it on prezzies but I'm going to see how close I can get to the grand total without it. :)

If it's no trouble Ellie, would it be possible to move me up the list if there are any gaps? That is, if we are generally keeping our numbers. It's easier for me to remember if it's a smaller number!:o

I was going to carry on for a few weeks more till the new challenge starts, but as most of us are cashing in now, I will too later this week. I need to get some paying in bags and work out how to pay loads of coins into an internet banking account! :D

No problem Wentthedaywell, I will move you up near the top of the list once we start the new challenge.

I'm hanging on for a couple more weeks before I open my tin;)

OMG, the person behind me at Asda was buying her Xmas turkey! I thought maybe she had an imminent family feast instead but overheard her telling the cashier that it was for Xmas :xmassmile

Ha Ha! I have ordered mine:o I've been saving up at the butchers all year too, it means I can stock up on meat which will see us through January

    Hello Everyone,

I see some of us have now reached our targets... WELL DONE:j

It's great to see we are almost at the end of this challenge and what a fantastic achievement for us all.

I'm happy to start the next challenge on the 1st December and will set up a new thread a couple of weeks before so we have time to sort out numbers, targets, obtain tins etc. and generally get ourselves organised.

I'm not going to open my tin until mid-way through November (if I can wait that long) but I am on track for my target:cool:

Totals updated where requested and once again Well Done!

    Ellie x
