So is the sound output on the Humax a bit tinny or not??
I have a cheapo Daewoo that has a " tinny " sound output, it is otherwise virtually perfect, but the sound output really lets it down.0 -

I run mine through my Hifi amp and speakers so I get a good sound:D
Hate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing
Do little and often
Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying :mad:0 -
I, too, put the sound through a home cinema and it sounds great...
I've never had any problems with the picture, either...
The Humax certainly doesn't seem to be a rip-off - 99.9% of Humax mentions are positive...hardly ever seen anyone have anything bad to say about it...0 -
Doesn't answer my question, I don't want to run one through an amp.0

Have you been into the Engineering set-up screens? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Errr...it kinda does answer your question...I said "it sounds great", not "it sounds tinny"....tinny != great.
If it was a bad sound, the amps would just amplify the badness.
Sound quality is good...but you're always going to get a "tinny" sound through TV speakers (esp on cheap LCDs...)0 -

The point is my TV has built in Freeview, the sound is fine, it is just crap via my Dawoo PVR, so cannot blame the TV speakers, I just need to know how the sound is on the Humax?0 -
