    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    According to his schedule, he's not supposed to go off-lead for another 3 days, but last night he had a 20-minute swim followed by a 20-minute walk and this morning he's literally bounced all the way round his 30-minute morning walk and would quite happily have done all of the above again! He hasn't limped once in the past three weeks and his leg muscles on the operated side are now very nearly equal to the ones on the good side - we just need to do some hill work to even up his bum a bit! - so tonight we're going to give him 10 minutes loose on the beach for the first time :D

    If I come to stay can you sort my bum out too :o Glad he's doing well, he looks lovely. Great pics, however now I've discovered Picasa I may match you :rotfl:

    Hooray - another £1000 mark ticked off, this time it's the offset amount, which ticked over to £12,xxx with this morning's tax savings deposit :j

    Bead sales have picked up nicely, mostly because nearly all my regular customers for necklace chains ordered in the same three days. My big findings order still hasn't arrived, mainly because I'm so far off the beaten track that the freight forwarder couldn't find a courier service who'd do a delivery faster than 3 working days. It should be here on Monday afternoon, so it's going to be all hands on deck while I sort through it and try to get it all up for sale and promoted ASAP.

    I've been organised and done my tax return this week. Nearly had kittens at the amounts due until I re-read it and saw the bit that said in big black letters THESE FIGURES DO NOT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT ANY PAYMENTS MADE ON ACCOUNT. So I've got the second payment on account for 08/09 due on 31st July, then that and the January 09 payment on account will be taken off the 08/09 total and the balance added to the payment on account for 09/10 due on 31st Jan 2010 - right?

    Obligatory dog update ;) - he's now off lead on the beach and loving it:

    A fly-by update from me this morning because a) I'm knee-deep in my findings order, which arrived on Tuesday and b) the O'Neill Coldwater Classic 6* surfing competition is on this week just up the road, so I'm spending a fairly significant part of the day ogling very fit young men in skintight wetsuits - it's a hard life ;):D

    Anyway, forgive me MFi3-ers, for I have sinned. Remember that urking big enormous Canon lens I've been dithering about buying for at least a year? It was delivered on Wednesday afternoon :o I'd been out to the puffinry at the weekend, got some good shots with my old lens, but was hitting the limits of what it could do, so decided that with the surfing as well, I was justified in raiding the piggy bank (it's not showing up in the figures below yet because I stuck it on the cashback card - don't have to pay for it for another month yet!). So yesterday I nipped down to the surfing for an hour to test it out and this is what happened - the only cropping done on these is to straighten up the horizons.

    More at http://www.flickr.com/photos/22544094@N00/ - I can't wait to get back to the puffinry, but need to wait for the wind to drop otherwise I'll be off the cliff. In the meantime, they're expecting 15ft waves at Thurso tomorrow and Smokey and I will be there to watch!

    That was only about a 6ft swell - it's going to be 15ft at Thurso East and Brims tomorrow and should be 10ft+ for the remainder of the competition. Hopefully should get some spectacular shots :D
