Interest-bearing amount is under £130k :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
Next challenge - making enough over the next few weeks so that when my tax has to be paid at the end of July it stays under £130k.... Actually, that shouldn't be too hard, the June and July mortgage payments will take just over £1,000 off the outstanding capital and if sales keep up as they are at the moment, I should be transferring at least £800 in saved tax/NI money into the offset.
So what's the next mini-target? Offset equalling 10% of outstanding mortgage, I think, although I could kind of argue we're there already because if you add the offset amount to the amount paid off, it equals more than 10% of the original mortgage.
Nothing else of interest to report this week, but I'm still loving my camera lens - look what I accidentally captured on the beach this week:
Woofer is well and happy and pestering me for his morning walk

Skuars (sp?)? Just a guess.Exclamation and question marks - ONE exclamation mark or question mark is sufficient to exclaim or ask about something. More than one just makes you look/sound like a prat.
Should OF, would OF. Dear oh dear. You really should have, or should've listened at school when that nice English teacher was explaining how words get abbreviated.0 -

Arctic terns - lots of them about at the moment. We've got puffins nearby as well

Ah, Terns. Love 'em, but rarely see them down here in the Fens. As previously posted, great pictures Caz.Exclamation and question marks - ONE exclamation mark or question mark is sufficient to exclaim or ask about something. More than one just makes you look/sound like a prat.

Great image to have the coincidence of the position and you must have had a high shutter speed to get the wings on the nearer one captured so clearly; 1/1000th or faster?
Meanwhile the offset plan etc is all proceeding very nicely it seems, well done.0 -

1/1250th, yes - fortunately it was a bright day!
It's the 5th, so the mortgage money has gone out, which means it's time for new scores on the doors. Amount paid off has ticked from £2,xxx to £3,xxx - always heartening to see a thousands figure shift and with a current overpayment of about £560 a month, they're moving quite quickly
Business is doing well (strange for this time of year, but I'm not going to complain) - I sold over £1,000-worth of stuff in the first three days of June and worked out that one item from the stuff I imported has sold 700 units in a month compared to the 50 a month I used to sell when I was buying it from a wholesaler in the UK. Just shows what a small price cut and free P&P can do.
My major achievement this week though has been talking OH out of turning in his old Jeep (his second car) for the scrappage allowance. Trading it in would actually be sensible - it runs very well, but the engine leaks coolant into the passenger footwell through the heater matrix and fixing that would cost more than the car's worth - but he wanted to scrap it for a top of the range BMW Z4 costing about £38,000 :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: Common sense and the fact that we have a driveway and central heating to pay for this year have prevailed!

Utterly storming week here; banked a little over £1700 from bead sales, so that's another £170 into the offset which triggered my waterfall system - it took the balance on the offset current account (my emergency fund) to over £6,000, which meant I could transfer £1,000 from that into the offset savings account, which took that balance to £4,000, which meant I could transfer £3,600 into the offset cash ISA and use my allowance for the year.
HMRC has kindly sent me my reminder of the payment on account due at the end of July. I need to put aside another £450 to keep the interest-bearing amount under £130k, but that will automatically be done by the July overpayment, so mini-goal achieved, I think
