Another £100 into the offset this week - every little bit helps. Got my Bill of Lading for the overseas order and my 8 cartons (all 171kg of them) are currently on this:

heading for Southampton. Not sure when she's due to dock yet, but it should be about 6 weeks if the weather holds good. Really looking forward to getting this order.

Not going to go for the shop, it's been widely advertised locally, there's a lot of interest and I think it'll go for way more than the guide.

Thank goodness I didn't buy that camera lens - had an email from my divorce solicitor on Wednesday afternoon saying they were terribly, terribly sorry, but they'd received a letter from my barrister asking them why they still hadn't paid for my counsel last June. They checked back through my account and found that although they'd billed it to me at the time, payment had never been made to the barrister, so the refund they'd sent me should have been a bill and could they possibly have a cheque for £470 made out to the barrister directly??

Add that to the car being serviced next week and that's the lens fund gone :(

Hey ho, at least it didn't have to go on a credit card. I've been paid for the majority of my transcription work now and 25% of that has been dutifully transferred into the offset. I've got a sort of waterfall system set up now. I'm trying to keep £5000 in the offset current account at all times - that's my emergency fund. Every time the balance gets to £6000, I transfer £1000 into the offset savings account and then once a year, £3600 comes out of the offset savings account into the offset cash ISA account. Currently have nearly £6000 in the current, £2000 in the savings and £3600 in the ISA, so I should be able to use up my ISA allocation pretty early in the year. OH still isn't really using his offsets, but he's concentrating on clearing his debts first, which is fair enough as they're at higher rates than the mortgage. (And he's just bought a shed  )

Mortgage payment goes out on Monday - I know I'm a very sad individual, but I'm really excited to see how much capital's going to come off this month :rotfl:

Hooray - IF updated my online balance today instead of waiting until Monday and I'm delighted to see that we've tipped over the £2k paid off mark. Just another £143 and a bit thousand to go....

Shop sales utterly, utterly dire this weekend. Hoping they pick up again soon - I'm wondering if eBay has tweaked its search algorithm again.

Caz, how is your own website going compared to ebay?

    Ginga

Last month I took about £600 through the website and about £3,400 through eBay. So it's catching up very slowly.
