OOOOOHHHH how spooky cos I probably flew over you today & wondered when you were moving..... Flew from Kirkwall to Inverness (can't remember where you are but think it's up by John O'Groats?). Absolutely gorgeous. Glad it's going well so far, have one on us  .
PS those light nights are spooky, I looked like this at 10pm last night  !A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

What a fantastic view!
You have been through it a bit recently but that view should more than make up for it!
Good luck with the flat sale, hope you hear soon.0 -
OH is now completely on board with the mortgage-free goal after I worked out that we're currently racking up interest at the rate of £25 a day and that every £60 we paid off or offset took 1p off that amount
I've been sitting here doing my accounts this afternoon and this is my current situation:
Debts:
Croydon mortgage: £27,201.54 (7.25%)
Scotland mortgage: £145,145.00 (6.1%)
Owed to Mum: £24,025.00 (0%)
Morgan Stanley card (business): £2,334.22 (17.9%)
NatWest card (personal): £1,134.00 (0% until September)
Post Office card (business): £1,620.48 (0% until July)
Tesco card (personal): £991.04 (17.9%)
Overdraft: £1,113.47 (12%-ish I think - I've never used it before, but it's an authorised one)
Total: £203,564.75
Bit out when I said £201k earlier then...
Set against that, I have £321.08 on its way into my current account from a transcription client (received the remittance advice this morning), £218.80 in my business account with another £412.15 on its way from Paypal and the money from my flat if/when it sells.
Selling the flat sorts all the problems, basically - it pays off the Croydon mortgage and Mum and I can give back my business the £5k it lent me, which takes care of the two business cards with a bit to spare. The Tesco card is always paid off in full and OH is giving me quite a bit towards it this month because we needed (OK, wanted...) a wardrobe for the bedroom and a chest of drawers to put our clothes in (all still in boxes at the moment - we had built-in wardrobes at the flat).
Good thing that the eBay shop is starting to tick over properly again, despite my low stock at the moment (OH has just stuck his head round the door and said he's found my stock delivery, which was supposed to be arriving tomorrow, in the annexe - they must have called while we were walking on the beach) and I've had the first draft of my re-design through, which looks great!
Better go and investigate that box - I've got four people waiting for 24" curb and trace chains, so if they're in there, that's £84 in the bank...

Hooray - the money is through from the Australian magazine (and they posted me a copy too!)
No news on the flat sale, other than I've had an email from the freeholders asking what's going on as they've got 2 friends who might be interested in renting it from me. I've not heard a thing back regarding the second survey, but given that was three weeks ago today, I think she'd have pulled out by now if the value had come in under what she needed again. Plus my solicitor forwarded on some queries from her solicitor dated 10 days after the survey - again, I don't think that would happen if she was going to pull out.
So I shall continue to juggle my overdraft and cross my fingers

Good news on the Aussie money:D0
