Nothing so far from the lady on Saturday, so I don't think she's going to make an offer. However, I have another two viewings tomorrow :T and I've finished transcribing that bunch of interviews :j:j
The bad news is that the 20 hour CD turned out to be such poor quality recording that I've had to turn the work down - I couldn't, in all good conscience, charge them £800 for a transcript that was going to be at best 25% complete (and would have driven me nuts to do!). On the plus side, the client says she appreciates the problems and will come back with her next batch, which she hopes will be better quality, so I've not lost her for the future and I've already filled the gap in the schedule with more work from an existing client. Hoorah.

Two more viewings yesterday :T:T but despite very positive feedback from both (according to the agent, who rang me later), no offer yet. Another one coming on Saturday, but I've put my details into Barnard Marcus' auction site today for them to give me a ring to discuss selling via them.
It's just starting to hit home exactly how much money I/we're going to owe on June 2nd - somewhere in the region of £209,000 if I count the new mortgage, the old mortgage, the money my Mum has very kindly lent me and the bits and pieces we've scraped together in short-term lending from various sources to pay the deposit, solicitor, stamp duty and removals company.:eek: Mind you, since most of my brain doesn't really believe we're moving house at all yet, I'm not too worried about it at the moment.(OH has just looked over my shoulder and pointed out that we've been through all this and it's not a problem, it's just going to be tight for a couple of months while we sell the flat.)
Haven't started packing yet and the removal men are arriving two weeks tomorrow... However, I did send out £350 of invoices today for completed work, which felt good

Don't worry abouth the size of your mortgage, you sound really thorough and I'm sure that if you took it, you can afford it.
Paying off a bigger mortgage is just the same as a smaller one, it's just a slightly bigger elephant to get through, one chunk at a time!
It must be a pretty stressful time for you at the mo. and we are all thinking of you and wishing you well. Then, when you are happy and cosy in your dream home, you can start kicking 4 bells out of the darn mortgage again!
I hope that today is the day that your offer comes through!

PS I am trying to sell a horse in a bad market, so I empathise with seller's stress!"Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." William Morris0 -
Hooray - have had a full asking price (the new, slightly lower asking price) offer this afternoon from a lady with a 20% deposit and the rest agreed in principle with her lender. She's an investor and she's willing to exchange as soon as the legals can be done.
It all seems too good to be true, but fingers crossed that it's third time lucky!
Catshark - fingers crossed you find the right home for your horse.

Good news then Caz!
Let's hope this one goes through properly. Now have you started packing in earnest yet?Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

Good news:D Fingers crossed for a good result - sounds promising:j0 -
Another hurdle gone - the buyer's lender's surveyor came round this morning (she really is keen!) and said he was happy that the flat was worth the amount she's paying for it, so in theory there's nothing stopping this going through now.
I have everything so tightly crossed that I think something may drop off!
