You have mail.
LOL. Always wanted to type that.
Also, I think a lot of food-based businesses can be separate, as most of their supplies, input & out, are VAT exempt.
BaffExclamation and question marks - ONE exclamation mark or question mark is sufficient to exclaim or ask about something. More than one just makes you look/sound like a prat.
Should OF, would OF. Dear oh dear. You really should have, or should've listened at school when that nice English teacher was explaining how words get abbreviated.0 -
Hooray! An email today from my main transcription client to say that £801.39 has been BACSd to my account and the £160 turned up as well:j:j:j:j:j And a letter yesterday from my solicitor to say that I had £837 on account and given my barrister for the next hearing is 'only' £400, that might just be enough to cover the rest of my legal bills if we manage to settle at the next hearing. I've also qualified for the DSR discount on my FVFs on eBay, 35%, which they doubled for the first month, so I've had £160 knocked off the invoice, and my website has been going great guns - £550 in 5 weeks
Future funds - well, I've still got the £350 due from the Australian magazine for my story and although Take A Break over here has rejected it, My Weekly's fiction department sent out an update saying they were looking for supernatural stories, so it got emailed off to them last night. Fingers crossed! I've had another CD from my main transcription client, which is nearly 2/3rds done and will be £109-worth, though I've agreed to keep an open invoice until the end of the project, which is in about 6 weeks' time. I've also sent off the forms to become an approved contractor for another client, as they've got work they want to send me, but their payroll department has difficulty paying me without deducting tax and Class 1 NI, so I've had to send them my tax return and fill out four forms  to prove that I really do declare my income like a good girl!
So life is looking rosy - just need a confirmed completion date for the new house (if they think they're getting their suggestion of 30th April now after not replying to our solicitor's queries for 3 weeks, they can get stuffed!) and a start date for OH's new job and life will be perfect

Gosh you've been busy! Great to hear things are going so well.
Our main photography client has just offerered us all their dates until late 2009 so am well chuffed. It's getting a bit difficult to find a time to take a holiday but I'm sure we'll think of something."Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." Well done & good Luck:T:j0

Pleased all's going well. Hadn't seen the last couple of updates and was wondering how you were getting along. HOORAY!!!!! Missives are concluded once the letter posted by the seller's solicitor reaches mine, so we're officially and irrevocably buying the new house on 2nd June and I have a contract of sale here to sign for the flat :j:j:j:j:j:j:j
All I have to do now is work out how to update my signature to account for the new mortgage and the MFi3 challengeThe best way I've come up with so far is to do something like:
MFi3 challenge - pay off £33,296.02 in 3 years.
and then add the £6,023.63 I've already paid off (or whatever it is by the time this mortgage is redeemed) to any overpayments made on the new £143,500 mortgage - which will be quite substantial to start with, because all proceeds from the sale of the flat have to sit in an offset savings account until I've sorted out finances with my ex and we'll still be making the full payment on top of that interest. So hopefully that will get me back on target for April 2010 :T
Then I can start on the remainder of the new mortgage

That's fantastic !

Hey- doing well!
Are you dizzyingly excited about your new life in Scotland? I bet you can't wait. I love Scotland!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
Phew, OH got a call yesterday to ask if he could 'pop in' to see his new manager in Scotland to be formally offered the job - since a 1,400 mile round trip is a bit more than a 'pop', they're doing it by conference call this morning instead
The movers are booked, so 5 weeks today I'll be madly cleaning a nearly-empty flat and getting ready for the first leg of the journey north the following day - I can't believe it!
I need to make a big, big list...
Good news: my big transcription client has asked me to go back to invoicing them per job as running everything together (at their request) caused them a bit of a budget hiccup - so I've got just over £100-worth to go off to them today and there's another 7 interviews coming my way next week :T

Good Luck with the move and Congratulations with the interviews:T0
