A driver who has had a few drinks and is under the England limit but over the Scotland driver can go from legal driver to criminal driver by driving over an unmarked border.
The border is generally signed, even on small roadsChange is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0 -

How badly damaged was the car, just because the insurance company decided it was a write-off, does not mean that it has no value.
If they do not pay, ask for your car back. If they are saying they won't pay out, they can't also get the car!Unless it is damaged or discontinued - ignore any discount of over 25%0 -

it was the top-of-the-range model with the optional rear brakes.
Never heard any car which had rear brakes as "option"Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0 -

I'd be in favour of reducing the limit in England to that of Scotland and most of the rest of Europe.
I would agree if , and only if, the penalties are made the same as the rest of Europe.
In Scotland they made a big deal or reducing the limit to match Europe but kept very quiet about the penalty in Scotland being much higher than most of europe at the low end of the DD scale. (Personally I would like Europe to bring their penalties up to match ours, but it should be a level playing field).0 -

Why does it matter what other countries fine? I feel all driving fines should be increased in this country. I don't really care what Germany, France, Italy charge.0
