Late post from me, but it's been a bit crazy busy despite me working from home

I have/will:
One poll
Checked banking, updated spreadsheet
Called BTL mortgage provider and queried reduced amount. It appears our fixed tariff has ended. Only a small saving but saving non the less :j
Meals from stores. Stew and dumplings in slow cooker
Small shop at Mr t, essentials only
Washing on overnight, drying on airer, just a couple of towels in TD on cheap leccy
DW already on delay for cheap rate later
Babysitting my godson soon. Only a walk round corner and will do some work for work to try and get me ahead a bit and pass the time. Take some sorted clothes out for him
Sorted some more of DD clothes for sale at weekend, may run out of labels but makes her drawers look neater and gets me ahead for next time
Liberated a plastic box that had cracked
2 x shampoo upside down to get dregs from
Went for free run (luckily befor heavens opened) PB
will have to start thinking about upping my distance.
Think that's all, hope those feeling rough feel better soon. Off to check foxgloves recipe

Bit of a rubbish end to the day:
Received a call earlier today from my eldest brother (can't tell you the last time he called me) and asked if it was possible to get together with mum and our younger brother, so we've been to his home tonight - he's been told today he has lung cancer and as he is young (58) and fit he could have up to 2 years, there is no cure but hopefully treatment may slow things down
Add that to the issues with mum's health and well-being and it feels pretty over-whelmingGoodreads 2025 Challenge :16/75

Hi All
Ziggy - I can't imagine how you must feel to hear that news. All I can say is that medicine is improving all the time and there may still be hope. The fact he rang and wanted to see you after such a long time could be viewed as the silver lining. Sometimes it takes a terrible shock to heal a rift. Hugs to all of you.
The winds were terrible here last night. Woke to find wheelie bins scattered around the place. Not a huge amount of money saving activities today but did check my banking and reconcile all my reciepts against it then file my reciepts or shred them.
Princess - hope your work are not going to be unreasonable. If you are sick you are sick and they shouldn't harass you.
Determined - Glad you had a nice break in Holland.
Night all.

Thank you, yes I am glad he reached out to us - there isn't a rift he's just a bit of a loner - not sure how else to explain his behaviour . Nothing I can change so all I can do is offer support to him, his wife and daughter (who I'm really close to).
