Morning everyone
thank you Ziggy for starting us off
DNMS - Glad you had a nice time away
would love to go to Holland
Didn't get a chance to do a packed lunch last night or this morning and skipped breakfast so going to have to buy myself something at work! I would skip lunch too but I can feel my stomach digesting itself and not eating triggers my migraines so better eat something! haha
Anyway today's list:
- Dinner at mums
- FPL
- Lucky Phone
- Survey/s
- Martins email
- Track food on MFP
Will probably add more later!!

Morning all
Hope you're all well!
Such a busy day today but on paper it looks nothing like it at all lol. So far I have/will
Get up extra early so that I can take my daughter to my mums house.
Stop on the way to buy card and flowers at Tesco (mums birthday so have to blame myself for the early rise really!)
Work today but had to get a valuation of our soon to be first property scanned and sent to the solicitor.
Hopefully get a chance to speak to the solicitor, left a voice mail yesterday letting me know we would have to push purchase back a week - not really a problem but I'd like to talk about things with him.
Will finish work and get home about 7 after the 6am rise
long day
Re evaluate the items I have on Gumtree and make sure I get at least another listed
Call phone company and see what DD amount they have applied for.
Cancel experian membership.
Hope you all have a great day!

Afternoon all. A fleeting visit from me as it's one of those kinds of days.. I'm another in the 'really? Only Wednesday?' Club
I remembered my purse today so have paid yesterday and Friday's syndicate
And I bought lunch. Whoops. My planned lunch is in the work fridge and I am being penalised my the beef and spinach pie that I bought actually being hot curried beef and spinach pie. It's nice but my mouth is on fire, lol
That'll teach me

Afternoon all!
Thanks to ziggy for starting us off today
I was in a right old sulk last night but that was *ahem TMI warning* hormonal. I was quite aware that it was so I just went with it and enjoyed listening to the windy weather in bed
Today's list:- B/L/D from stores
- Charge phone in work - done
- Get some little stocking filler pressies and cheap bun tins from the 99 shop for the Christmas party - shop closed down. Went to a different shop and got what I needed

- Check online banking and reconcile spreadsheet  - done
- Crochet/advent calendar
- Bread roll dough into BM - not sure what to do about dough though as want to batch cook the rolls. Have discovered that the oven uses horrendous amounts of electricity. Wish to maximise the amount of stuff in said oven.
- Heating off
- Ring United Utilities to change DD details - done
Have a good one all

Hi all,
Suddenly a very soggy day here. A few money saving bits & pieces though:
*Received new energy bill. Totally unfathomable but I'm sure it was sent to reflect the fact that we are going to get a rebate. Will wait & check that rebate arrives & file both bills in case anything transpires.
*Made my Christmas mincemeat. Used gifted cooking apples. Not money saving in that I could have bought a ready-made jar of own-brand, but I prefer to make my own & have managed to roll a few surplus ingredients over ready for Christmas Pudding-making this weekend.
*Checked online banking to see if Onepoll survey payment had arrived. Yes! Will update signature. This is destined for the Car Fund, but I have to leave it in situe for now as those extra phone payments have taken almost all our buffer zone this month.
*Small oddment of money - £2.96 - couldn't resist PAD'ing it across to Car Fund. Will update signature.
*Did a couple of surveys. Only need 5 points for next Ipsos cash-out. mr f cashed out last night so that will be 2 more vouchers to look forward to.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Round up everything which could usefully be added to tonight's dinner. Can't bear food waste.
*Ironed only what really needed it & switched off for last garment.
*Updated grocery budget.
*Downstairs heating off until at least 5pm.
*Fetched 2 presents from Waitrose on Click & Collect. This is really useful as nearest city centre with John Lewis is 32 miles round trip of petrol & expensive parking.
*Free 'Guardian' & 2 free coffees from Waitrose while we were there.
*Knit more Christmas present socks. Have finished heel flap so will turn the heel, shape the foot & get onto the final stretch today if not hindered by Cat who is unfortunately a yarn-robber.
*All free leisure. Intend to watch something from Amazon Prime & have updated my blog.
Have a good day, all.
f x2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!0 -
Chocolatelover - Yes, I have shared the recipe on my blog:
http://thepeopleandcatsrepublicofhagstones.blogspot.co.uk/2015/11/cranberry-orange-fruit-cake.html
CarrieLF - Thanks for the PM. I've now sold all the general craft mags, which were a wide variety of titles, all given to me by my sister who seems to buy tons of them. I had re-listed 2 issues of 'The Knitter' as they do generally sell on ebay as some of the older back editions are no longer available. The other unsold ones were a few old knitting mags, which by the time I'd read your message, I'd already texted my crafty friend to see if she wanted them, & she did. If I acquire another good selection, I shall maybe have to flag up on here that I'm selling as we do have quite a few crafters, don't we? Keep crocheting! I'm rubbish at crochet. Can do barely more than doubles/trebles, etc, but I I-u-r-v-e knitting!
Cheers,

Thanks foxgloves - no worries, but certainly if you get some more I'd potentially be interested.
When I decide to start knitting, I might need you for tips
lol at the cat - I think most animals like yarn. We used to have pet rats and they stole mine and dragged it under the sofa

Evening all (weakly
)
A bit scuppered by the Wednesday baby GD and puppy combo today
Little else has been dealt with
The good news is that I haven't spent anything :T
And HM meals from stores
Composted 3 grotty spider plants - but planted 3 of their babies. Once you have them, there is no getting rid of spider plants :rotfl:
Chocolatelover, I would recommend Holland as a place to visit too
I used to go there for work sometimes, and it is lovely
Foxgloves, I will be checking out that cake recipe
More will be done tomorrow!0 -
