  • I think the s5 is better than the s6 and a damn site cheaper.
The nexus 6p is just rediculous.

I like Samsung phones, they just don't like me. Every single one I've had has died immediately after the warranty expired, whereas other people who have them don't have these issues as frequently. My other smartphones have lasted much longer.

Think I'm going for the G4 for a variety of reasons.

Instead of going with the flashy phones ;)
How about taking a look at the "Fairphone 2"

How about a "close to a open-source, Fair trade, modular & easily upgradable" phone as possible...

A modular phone that seems to miss the point of having a modular phone, where are the options to build it to your own spec?

Upgradeable? where are the upgrades? user repairable more like?

Where are the options for a better camera or more RAM?

i have the LG G4 and love it, not missed a beat, the camera is, for me the best camera on a phone i have seen (pretty much full manual settings!!!).

the only thing i wish it had is waterproofing, but thats a side effect of having a removable battery - which i think will come in handy later in its life.

overall battery life is a day, just, sometimes i have to give it a 10-15 boost in the evening just to get it through, but thats only on the days when i have really hammered it playing games.

also, with the quick circle cases you can get wireless charging as well - although this of course is added expense :(

I have also found when i hold other premium phones, in comparison to the G4 i find them uncomfortable in my hands as the G4 has a curved back, which sits nicely in my hands, and is actually slightly curved on the screen as well
    Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

I got the S6 earlier this year. It's got a lot of good points - amazing camera, lovely screen, fast, nice interface (this is my first Samsung phone - I've heard that earlier Samsung Android phones had a pretty distinctive interface that a lot of people didn't like; the S6 doesn't feel very far from pure Android). The only downside is the rather woeful battery life - if I'm going to be away from a charger (i.e. home, work or the car) for a long period I have to remember to take a portable power bank with me.

  • If reliability is an issue I'd steer away from an LG, One Plus and probably the Nexus 6P, I guess that leaves just the Sony, unless you can hold on for the next HTC flagship?
  • OnePlus X would certainly be my phone of choice there. Great handset, and fantastic value for money.
