Corned beef and onion (is using tinned beef make sure it's been in fridge, so it will slice better)
Boiled egg sliced with sliced tomato

Roast chicken and stuffing (left overs)
Roast pork and apple sauce (left overs)
Grilled chunky cooking bacon allowed to cool and sliced thinly with boiled egg

I tried homemade humous and roasted vegetable today in pitta- I enjoyed it but my OH didn't like cold roasted veg:)

I sometimes do cous cous with tomatoes peppers etc in, with feta, tinned fish as a change from sandwiches. Also crisp beads and humous or cottage cheese.
  • Add sweet chilli sauce to tuna and mayo, and chopped onions.
Roast beef and bits of stilton mixed into mayo.

or my granddaughters favourite - Pastrami. she likes the Aldee one and although when making 'wraps' she will add some salad - for a straight bread sandwich nothing beats a half pack of Pastrami.
I like the Sopocka Pork (not sure I spelt that right), it goes well with a bit of salad or mustard mayo...............or both.
my husband loves the good old Bacon Sarnie - with tomato (except the tomato has to be cooked too), and ketchup.
grandson loves Bacon Sarnie with lettuce and Brown Sauce.
another granddaughter loves egg sarnies. I do them with cooled scrambled eggs mixed with mayo and finely chopped chives.
my personal favourite is Roast beef and mustard on fresh bakers bread with thick butter - which I cant have because I am wheat intolerant! but occasionally, I do indulge and pay the price!
  • Lemon curd, cheese, and banana - yes, I thought it sounded bizarre years ago when DS `invented` it, but it really is very nice!

Slice of ham or roast beef, cream cheese and bean sprouts
  • cottage cheese is lovely mixed with any bits & bobs that you like to eat, for instance a chopped up onion & chopped hard boiled egg, or
cottage cheese with chopped tomatoes (or halved cherry toms) prawns & black pepper

but you could add anything you enjoy to ring the changes

Has homemade coleslaw been mentioned? I'm very fond of a crunchy filled rolls with a smattering of grated cheese on the coleslaw.

    Yum x
