  • Reading about the OPs physical condition and the after effects he attributes to a small natural gas leakage, I would urge him to go his doctor and request, if possible an electrocardiograph. That clamping sensation he feels is very worrying. Something does nt sound right.
We lived for many years with an unknown gas leak which only came to light when the house was sold and a gas tight test was done by the buyer. I admit to maybe feeling a little tired and vaguely amiss whenever I sat in the kitchen ( where the gas leak was ) for a few hours but the OPs is exhibiting something bigger than the usual minor natural gas leak effects.

Thank you I will look for the edit, I'm not that good with smart phones, l do please urge everyone to look into the ingredients of gas and what it does to your body, there are people who say it is harmless, not so as I and others have found, if it is so harmless why do energy companies like British gas refuse to give us that information??? I see they are advertising boilers, I strongly suggest that the money used for their advertising should go on training their engineers, google Mail on line, 20th of August 2015, WHICH consumer magazine undercover, engineers putting consumers in danger !!!!!!
  • I assume you are referring to this http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3204115/Useless-boiler-engineers-lives-risk-investigation-finds-two-ten-correctly-carried-checks.html

Where it clearly states that British Gas and Corgi do the minimum legal requirement. No where in the article does it say that British Gas employs dangerous engineers. I stand by my previous statement.

Oh dear meter man if you had read my wall of writing properly you would have seen exactly what I said, so you are basically repeating that 2 companies, one being British gas carried out the MINIMUM LEGAL checks, so we as consumers are getting BARGIN BASEMENT safety checks, my discription was that it was dangerous engineers BUT if you want the exact quote which YOU have fared to include in your post I have it in front of me now "only two British gas and corgi carried out MINIMUM legal checks while NONE I repeat NONE!!! Followed manufacturers servicing instructions properly" I know we all value freedom of speech but trying to defend the right to do bad work is just plain foolish and DANGEROUS, it's almost like defending the right to drive the wrong way up the motor way!!!!!
I strongly suggest you change your name to BG man as it would be more appt. Oh I nearly forgot in the article British gas also said and I quote " British gas said SAFETY was its ' Number One Priority' I think the public will decide and judging by the complaints against British gas you can google it under that headline I am just one of many!!!!!
  • So... British Gas and Corgi did carry out the minimum safety check.

Only two – British Gas and Corgi – carried out minimum legal checks, while none followed manufacturer’s servicing instructions properly.

Perhaps you should take up your arguments with Gas Safe to have them change the minimum legal requirement.

It doesn't actually mention what the minimum legal requirement is, and the very wording is negative.

Like I said BG man, there is no point debating with someone who wants to defend the right to carry out bad work when it comes to gas and then the said company trying to cover it up, save your English language classes for yourself, if you are an engineer, I suggest you keep your low safety standards away from the general public!

Good morning fellow member, I was really interested to know what an electrograpgh does in cases of toxic poisoning, I would have asked earlier but meter man/BG man is trying to deflect from the seriousness of this issue, thank you!
