Don't expect too much as you are locked into a 12 months contract so will have no negotiating power.0 -

I think it's probably tv on the 10 month deal, as that is what I was initially offered and refused. There is a general 12 months free broadband offer.0 -
We are with TalkTalk for our phone and broadband (£17.70/mth for 18 months) and have just agreed our new TV package with Sky this last week.
We have been with them a couple of years or so now, and each year we ring to cancel and then get a good deal. Our current deal is 60% off any TV package for 12 months, with no contract and £50 credit. We have Sky Original bundle, Sky Sports and Sky Movies for £21.80/mth.
I certainly wouldn't take any offer less than 50% off as a returning / haggling end-of-contract customer! I've just helped my Dad get 50% off his TV bill too, and he had the Family pack with HD, so it can be done. Hope this helps x0 -
Same here, spoke to a lovely man on live chat
He offered me £19.50 for 12 months for the variety pack (essentially what we had before) so roughly £42 a month (inc phone/net that we already have with them.)
I said no and found a deal with talk talk that trumped them (would never go to talk talk but competition doesn't hurt) with a £60 voucher and other offers for £37.50 a month for £12 months (inc phone/net)
He was quiet for a bit and came back with £14.50 a month and £50 credit on the account. I would have jumped at it... if I hadn't had to purchase a new box with it to be eligable. All £199 of it.
He was very confused that I didn't want it - kept saying it was much cheaper... he didn't get that it was £7.43 a month more expensive once the credit had been applied and the box price was spread out over 12 months than his first offer!0 -
@PerfectChristmas - I got a "free" new box but only by taking an upgrade to Family & HD pack-but then got 60% plus £100 bill credit, which pulled it back to just under £22 per month for everything inc Sport but no movies.0

Click on link, start a chat and say that you received a flyer offering 60% off and £100 credit to come back to Sky. Always say you received FLYER. If no luck first time, try again with different adviser. Only works if you have cancelled Sky, your 31 days notice is up and box has cut off.0 -

....and they haven't checked to see what regions have been leafleted, in which case they could consider you a liar and offer nothing.
Don't quote rubbish to scare people. I have 5 friends who successfully did this and got the deal. It's sky's dedicated chat line to get customers to come back to Sky. They are authorised to offer deals. This deal has now been closed but you can still get 50% off and £50 credit.0 -
There is no need to tell lies about receiving leaflets etc. Just ring them up and ask what they will offer you to return. If the right deal isn't offered there is no obligation.
In addition, people who have left Sky are regularly sent mailshots trying to entice them to return, so clicking on a link randomly posted on the internet is not at all necessary.0 -
We moved to Sky from Virgin as we moved house and Virgin wasn't available at our new address. I used live chat as a new customer so didn't have to give all the details. Sky quoted £116 per month for the package we wanted, I said I thought that was expensive and that I wanted to pay around £100. Straight away the agent said he would speak to his supervisor and came back with an offer of £79! Worst haggling strategy ever! We went with Sky as we didn't really have a choice anyway, husband needs Sky sports. It took two weeks to get it working and apart from one agent, the helpline is hopeless, average 20 minute wait only to be cut off twice just as I'd begun talking to the agent. Oh well, Virgin is coming to our village 'soon' so hopefully by the time our contract is up we'll be able to switch. We did save a lot of money though.0
